Honestly, I haven’t been move by any looks so far this week.
That changed the second I laid eyes on Iman who attended The Point Foundation’s 4th Annual Point Honors New York this week.
The woman who put ‘Super’ into Supermodel, arrived on the red carpet wearing a Marc Jacobs Spring 2011 dress.
She glowed (as she often does) wearing a brick-red satin asymmetrical dress with a flower accent on top of a velvet waistband.
On the runway, it’s beautiful. On Iman, it’s a knock-out of hyperventilating portions.
This woman consistently gives me goosebumps. Her perfection is only equaled by Dita von Teese and Cate Blancett.
Every time I see Iman I hear, “Lovin’ you, is easy cause you’re beautiful…”

Not a fan of the shoes until I can see a close up, but everything else is DIV-INE…
I don’t like anything of the feet, neither the shoes choise nor the pose of the foot.
Agree w/ Lara. Unsure about shoes. Dress okay’; not a fan of big fabric flowers. Purse looks a little large for this dress. Do you like that, FC: “Little large”?
Anyway, not hyperventilating out here in California!
I completely agree, it’s not a bad look but there is a few faux pas, especially in the feet area. The fabric is bothering me as well.
agree with Gigi,sorry FC
i agree with you, fc! this woman can do wrong in my book! flawless and gorgeous as always.
Gorgeous, but kind of predictable.
Hmm..I’m not sure that FC and I are looking at the same picture. I don’t like this look at all :/
Waaaaaahat?
Lol
Haha well I DO agree that Iman is a stunning creature. Just not into this outfit
You must be underwhelmed this week, because this is not Iman’s best look! I agree with the comments about her shoes, though I like the flower embellishment on her dress. She is beautiful, no doubt. But the education your blog is giving me, I have pretty much turned against satin–too shiny, though she has managed not to crease it. I love this color, but on her, I think it is making her look a little orange.
It’s nice, but i like the dress much better in the runway color. I’m not sure about the clutch either.
Nice but kinda like better on the runway model.
Has Karen Elson worn this dress already?
totally different dress
I loved the dress on the runway: the color, the fit, shoes and everything. So sorry, not the same about Iman’s version.
I seem to be in a minority with FC – I absolutely love this. Perfection. The colour is divine, and the fact that she’s remained uncreased in that incredibly unforgiving fabric is merely more proof that she’s not mortal.
So it’s you, me and David Bowie, FC. I think she looks terrific and, like Dita, I think Iman rarely makes a fashion misstep. I love the big flower at her waist. Reminds me of a similar hip embellishment on a dress worn by Carrie Underwood (?) a few days ago. And forget Misha Barton — I want to know what Iman does to her face!
I’m really surprised so many people didnt like this look.
She looks amazing to me
Yeah, I totally agree. I’m drooling over this look, I love the hair. She looks stunning as always!
I prefer this dress on the model.
Don’t like the clutch nor the shoes but that dress looks great on her.
couldn’t agree more about the shoes.. so not complementing the dress. love the dress, hate the shoes!
I like it better on Iman as well. Don’t care for her footwear.
