You all know how much I love Blake Lively, but I just couldn’t get on board with the look she wore to the Warner Bros Presentation during Cinemacon at The Caesars Palace Hotel in Las Vegas yesterday.
The “Gossip Girl” actress yet again ruins her entire look with the most inappropriate heels.
We get that she has a million and one pairs of Louboutin’s, but couldn’t she pick the right pair to work with her white Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2011 look?
Her white silk and lace dress paired with a white jacket is beautiful, but I feel like I’ve been there and done that when it comes to this type of look with Diane Kruger and Kate Bosworth.
The problem with this collection is once you’ve worn one look, you’ve pretty much worn them all. Diane and Kate were a perfect example of that.
I feel a celebrity shoe swap coming on.

Dolce and Gabbana dresses seem to carry the same problem.. the dresses look too similar.. i rem the lace black number that we say coutless times last season too

I love this look, but I agree on the shoes. I think they´re fab, but not with this dress. They´re too casual… A pair of strappy sandals would have been preferred.

Love the look, hate the shoes. She really must this style of Louboutin cos she’s got them in Black – which she wears all the time. She still looks great though, 1st time she’s worn D&G I think!
You’re right about all the dresses looking the same from the collection. But I much prefer this to the dresses worn by DK and KB, especially with the additional blazer.
How can you ever forget the time she wore that scene stealer DG to Sherlock Holmes premiere?

Yee, shoes, similar dresses … all true but seriously, apart from the heels the girl looks gorgeous. Hair style and earrings are just fab.
I actually rather like this – shoes and all!
I think one of the white macrame clogs from the same Dolce & Gabbana collection would have worked wonderfully with this look. But of course, I understand that 1) It would’ve been too matchy matchy, 2) Blake Lively has to be “edgier” considering she’s a “style icon” to many young women, and 3) Fashion Critic doesn’t like white shoes. If not the white macrame clog heels from Dolce & Gabbana then a brightly coloured shoe would’ve worked perfectly.
The shoes do ruin the look.
I like the runway version of the outfit better. I would have liked to have seen Blake with the little tie at the neck.
The earrings are a bit much.
