Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: March 2011

Katie Holmes walked the red carpet for “The Kennedys” World Premiere which was held at The AMPAS Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills last night.

I bet you’re thinking that Tom Cruise wasn’t there. Well he was.

It looks like he finally got my memo, because on this rare occasion he allowed his wife to pose all by herself so we can actually get a good look at her Ralph Lauren Spring 2011 dress.

Her knitted lace pale blue dress with a flared skirt was teamed nude strappy sandals and a gold necklace with an ‘S’ (Suri) pendant to complete her look.

I don’t think I’ve ever worn this colour before, but it’s the perfect colour for Spring.

I’m loving Katie’s sassy confidence at the moment.

I hope we get to see her wearing her own Holmes & Yang collection soon, as Malin Akerman did a get good of showcasing a look last week.

Recognize those eyes? Of course you do—a blind man knows that this gorgeous honey brown gaze belongs to a one Kim Kardashian.

Along with her infamous tush, her kooky family, her revolving love life and her flawless features, it’s her magnificent makeup that keeps the world captivated. Love her or hate her—She. Never. (Ever!) Gets. It. Wrong. Her brows? Groomed to perfection. Her cheeks? Impossibly (yet believably) flushed. Her foundation? Just like second-skin. Her eyeshadow? Ever immaculate. And then there’s her lashes.

We hear that Kardashian is a huge fan of Ja’maal Buster Eyelashes, as is Rihanna, Beyonce, Paris Hilton and Taylor Swift. To create her lush lash look, cut the lash band into a few pieces and strategically place them along the upper lash line for a dramatic, seductive effect.

As for the bottom set, some prefer to use short and mini individuals. But for us novices, there’s a special mascara for that. Clinique’s newest offering, Bottom Lash Mascara, features a doll-sized brush that lengthens and fans every single fine hair along your lower lash line for maximum intensity.

Michelle Monaghan arrived at the ArcLight Cinemas Cinerama Dome in LA last night, to join her co-star Jake Gyllenhall for the premiere of their new movie, “Source Code.”

The actress looked stunning walking the red carpet wearing a Versace Spring 2011 dress.

Her perfect for Spring dress with a patent leather belt and strap details off-the-shoulder, was paired with nude Versace pumps with a white heel.

The modern-day classic dress fits her like a glove.

My only problem with this look is that I feel like she’s hiding behind her hair.

I would’ve much preferred this look had she pulled her hair back.

Michelle Williams attended the “Meek’s Cutoff” Screening in New York City last night.

The actress opted for a Chanel Spring 2011 Couture dress.

Her lilac dress has black sequined embellishments on the sleeve and large pockets on the front of her dress.

It’s been a while since I was excited about seeing Chanel on the red carpet and this isn’t doing it for me either.

Nice, but bland and boring at the same time.

A Chanel ring and Ferragamo heels completed her look.

I bet you’d never thought you would see Sofia Coppola and Rihanna wearing the same dress.

The two stars have both worn this Celine Pre-Fall 2010 colour-block dress.

Late last year Sofia Coppola attended the TimesTalks with Stephen Dorff at The Times Center in New York City wearing her Celine dress.

She added black tights and shearling lined ankle boots to her look.

Rihanna wore the same dress whilst carrying a Prada tote when she was spotted leaving Giorgio Baldi restaurant in Palisades CA earlier this month.

Despite Sofia being the typical Celine woman, I much prefer this look on Rihanna.

I like how Rihanna’s accessories liven up her look.
