Keira Knightley attended the 2011 Jameson Empire Awards in London this week wearing black Jimmy Choo satin pumps.

Keira tends to wear black pumps on the red carpet regardless of the type of dress she’s wearing.

Her black pumps are safe and boring.

Keira’s lovely Rodarte dress needed a blush coloured or dainty heel.

Shoes Keira Should Have Worn

Miu Miu’s crystal-heel satin sandals are embellished perfectly to complement the embellishments on Keira’s dress. I love mixing textures and these satin heels would’ve been ideal for her dress.

The Versace two-tone patent leather pumps are one of my favorite nude pumps this season. It’s hard to find this exact colour. The colour, shape and style make it a great option for Keira. You may remember that Michelle Monaghan wore these same heels this week.

Tabitha Simmons Dana suede sandals are my favorite heels for Keira. They were also the shoe choice for recent BDOTW winner Jennifer Aniston. Had Keira opted for these heels they may have carried the same luck for the British actress too.

The Nicholas Kirkwood suede and ruffle chiffon platform sandals would have complemented the ruching on Keira’s dress. This is a unique choice as Kirkwood’s and Rodarte’s designs work very well together.

Which pair would you pick for Keira?

The darling Diane Kruger took to the red carpet in support of the ‘Runway to Green’ event which was held at Christie’s in New York City last night.

We shouldn’t be surprised to see that she’s the first celebrity to wear a look from the Jason Wu Fall 2011 collection, because she often is.

The Kruger/Wu connection is natural marriage of beautiful girlie charm and elegance which both the actress and the collection possess.

Her black silk Radzmire sculpted dress with an ivory underskirt, was paired with an ivory Jason Wu clutch and Jason Wu nude satin pumps which are both from the Fall 2011 collection.

Diane effortlessly styled her look with a shaggy loose plait and gold earrings.

You may not be familiar with Alessandra Rich, but the fashion industry has taken notice.

Case in point Natalie Massent, Chairman and Founder of Net-A-Porter.com wore an Alessandra Rich dégradé lace-covered cotton and silk-blend gown to the ‘Runway to Green’ event in New York City last night.

Heralded as one of fashion’s future leaders, Alessandra Rich and her namesake collection are generating an insider buzz that will no doubt find her placed prominently on a red carpet soon.

Alessandra Rich founded her label in 2009 following a career as a high-end interior designer.

Having worked in her native Italy; France and London – where the label is currently based – this young designer no doubt tapped into her obvious penchant for the luxurious while creating her designs.

Lace and silk are the prominent fabric choices with pops of fluorescent and neoprene detailing adding a modern twist.

The Alessandra Rich aesthetic is filled with allusions to femininity; a new femininity to bring confidence of the look the Rich woman wants to portray, whilst doing it with grace and charm in a timeless silhouette that couples edgy sophistication.

The Alessandra Rich Spring 2011 collection is currently available on Net-A-Porter US and Net-A-Porter International.

Celebs I See Wearing This Collection: Kiera Knightley, Carrie Mulligan, Angelina Jolie, Tilda Swinton, Annete Benning and Helen Mirren

Olivia Palermo was at Christie’s in New York City last night to attend the ‘Green Auction: A Bid To Save The Earth’ featuring a ‘Runway to Green’ fashion show which was supported by Net-A-Porter.com.

I’m usually a huge fan of what Olivia wears, but on this occasion her styling isn’t as impeccable as we’ve come to expect from her.

She wore a long sleeve Rachel Roy Pre-Fall 2011 feather and beaded embellished top, with a pleated marble print Marios for Topshop pleated skirt .

As much as she tried, the two pieces don’t work together.

I applaud Olivia for always bring the high street to the red carpet, but it doesn’t work on this occasion.

There is so much detail on the top that a solid skirt would’ve worked better. It might be the safer and less interesting option, but I would’ve preferred it to what’s currently going on here.
