Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: March 2011

Liana Liberato looked delightful on the red carpet at The LA screening of “Trust,” which was held at The DGA Theatre in West Hollywood, California last night.

The 15 year old Texan wore an Erdem Spring 2011 dress.

I will never tire of Edrem’s floral prints. The romantic watercolours of this floral print have a delicately powerful presence.

This silk dress with cap sleeves is more fitted than the versions presented on the runway.

I love Liana’s choice of accessories.

Not only are they refreshing – especially the orange peep-toes – but they are both complementary and provide an added pop of colour to her already colourful look.

Jessica Alba has one of the most enviable bag collections in Hollywood. Her latest go-to bag is equally as lust worthy as the others.

The Dolce & Gabbana ‘Miss Rose’ Lace Satchel is a beautiful mixture of the classic edgy bag with a soft theme. The lambskin leather bag is accented with lace insets throughout to add a feminine and romantic touch.

Jessica has been seen toting hers around running errands, and whilst with her hubby Cash Warren scouting preschools for baby daughter Honor.

The juxtaposition of the leather with the lace adds in femininity and texture which goes well with multiple looks and fabric options, while the roomy size make it easily transferable from a day of shopping and meetings to dinner with friends.

The Dolce & Gabbana bag features a zippered front front flap pocket and is currently available to purchase at Luisa via Roma.

Carrie Underwood performed John Lennon’s “Instant Karma” at the Points of Light Tribute, honoring George H. W. Bush last night at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC.

The Country singer hit the red carpet before her performance glowing in a Herve Leger by Max Azria gown.

Every time I think of a bandage gown my mind wonders to Kate Mara’s SAG Awards gown, but Carrie shows us how a bandage gown can work on the red carpet.

Her blush gown was lightly embellished around the neckline to add a touch of sparkle plus it has a floaty chiffon skirt.

Carrie opted for a shimmering blush lip colour to match her dress.

For me the only thing disappointing about her look was her clutch.

A smaller gold sparkling clutch would’ve been preferred as it would have perfectly complemented her jewels and the embellished neckline of her gown.

Zhang Ziyi looked absolutely stunning as she walked the red carpet at the 5th Annual Asian Film Awards in Hong Kong last night.

The star who’s been closely affiliated to Chanel and Armani opted for a Christian Dior Spring 2010 gown for this event.

Her bustier gown has a blush corset with a lace overlay and a tiered sheer skirt.

Subtle silver jewels complemented her look as did her Christian Dior minaudière.

Her jet black wavy hair was swept over one shoulder and she kept her make-up light and neutral.

It’s been a while since we had a 4 way on WWIB?

These four ladies have very different styles but they all fell in love with this Lanvin crushed ramie dress from the Spring 2011 collection.

Gwyneth Paltrow wore the dress first when she showed the world she could actually sing at the 2010 CMA Awards in Nashville.

Bordeaux Brian Atwood ‘Eastwood’ booties and selection of gold necklaces completed her stunning look.

Chelsea Clinton wore the same dress a month later when walked the red carpet at The Clinton Foundation’s Millennium Network Event in LA.

She opted for a more demure approach to this look adding opaque tights and Brian Atwood satin pumps.

Nearly two weeks ago Abbie Cornish donned her dress when she attended the New York Premiere of “Limitless.”

Stuart Weitzman black satin ‘Femina’ peep toe pumps, a black VBH clutch and Broken English gold jewelry to her look.

Despite this dress being worn 3 times before, that didn’t deter Leslie Mann.

Last week she added Louboutin’s to her dress whilst attending the “A Night at Sardi’s” benefitting the Alzheimer’s Association in Beverly Hills.

Gwyneth wins for me as she’s the only one to step out of the box and opt for shoes that weren’t black. I also prefer her runway version which has a deeper plunge. The other three wore the commercial version.

You can buy this Lanvin dress from Net-A-Porter US, Net-A-Porter International and Luisa via Roma.
