Gretchen Mol arrived at The Ziegfeld Theatre this week for the “Mildred Pierce” New York Premiere.

She dazzled wearing a Marchesa Resort 2011 A-line dress.

The silk dupioni gold embroidered dress was teamed with a Marchesa alligator square box clutch and nude pumps.

I would have accessorized with gold pieces, but thankfully Gretchen stepped outside the box and gave us other options.

British style leaders Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller may differ in their personal style choices, but it seems the two may have similar tastes when it comes to bags.

Both actresses were spotted this week carrying the same Miu Miu Spring 2011 Ostrich leather hobo bag in different color ways.

Keira posed for cameras with her version on Monday evening outside of The Comedy Theater leaving her latest performance in “The Children’s Hour’, while Sienna carried hers during a casual night out at London’s Theatre Royal Hallymark.

The bag features an ostrich leather flap, top handle which adds a lady-like appeal and a long detachable shoulder strap for a hands-free and crossbody coolness.

I haven’t spotted the ostrich leather versions online yet, but Net-A-Porter US and Net-A-Porter International have this camel, tan and chocolate leather version.

Back in July 2010 Jessica Alba wore this stunning red Valentino Fall 2010 ruffled one-shoulder gown to a grand soirée hosted by Valentino himself in Paris. The event celebrated the opening of the Valentino Archives.

Her hair was styled into an updo with a few pieces framing her face.

A few bracelets and a nude clutch completed the look.

Several months later Selita Ebanks wore the same gown to the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in Hollywood with a sleek updo and complementary jewels.

Jessica wins for me. I love the addition of the nude clutch which complements the soft nude ruffles plus I love her more dramatic train.

On Wednesday morning Taylor Swift was spotted leaving her hotel in London.

She was making her way to Abbey Road Studios where she is set to perform a special gig.

The Country singer was in very high spirits as she was greeted by her UK fans.

She looked adorable wearing a Topshop ivory lace dress with two tone heels.

Her look was completed with a Ralph Lauren tan mini briefcase from the Spring 2011 collection which she’s been seen carrying everywhere whilst in Europe.

What I like most about Taylor’s look is that she added a black tutu to her Topshop dress. This makes it look like a two-tone dress and adds a flare to the skirt.

A black belt complements her black hemline.

See the girl does have some imagination when it comes to fashion.

What do you think of her modified look?

You can purchase her dress from Topshop US and Topshop International.

Bryce Dallas Howard attended the LA Premiere of “Ceremony” at ArcLight Cinemas yesterday.

The radiant redhead looked divine wearing a Reem Acra dress.

Her pink v-neck dress with gold ethnic-esqe embroidery detailing was perfectly complemented with gold Le Vian bangles.

The rest of her look included a snake-skin Kotur clutch and blush satin Brian Atwood ‘Maniac’ pumps.

Bryce always makes the right choices. The colour of this dress is divine against her milky complexion and she picked the right accessories.

BDOTW worthy.

It’s a rather daring look for someone who’s style is more sophisticated and subdued; absolutely a risk, but we think it paid off—majorly.

At the Louis Vuitton party for Sam Taylor-Wood, English actress Thandie Newton went for whimsical with this kooky top knot chignon that sat slightly off-center, right atop her forehead. One part ‘Grey Gardens‘ granny, two parts ‘laissez-faire’ hair, we think Thandie’s on to something. We’re guessing it won’t be long before other stars start pushing their ponys a bit more forward as well—here’s how to get the look before everyone else jumps on the high bun bandwagon:

Step #1: Using a boar bristle brush (helps tame pesky flyaways), sweep hair into a very high position, like 4-to-5 inches off of your forehead;

Step #2: Tautly secure ponytail using a snag-less rubber band, and slip hair through a chignon pillow and push it to the base;

Step #3: Twist the hair around the pillow, and secure with bobby pins;

Step #4: Mist with hairspray to set.
