Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: March 2011

The few times we’ve seen Katie Holmes in Holmes & Yang, we weren’t that impressed.

It appears that the collection has improved dramatically if Malin Akerman’s look is anything to go by.

The blonde actress opted for a red Holmes & Yang silk dress for the “Sucker Punch” LA Premiere last night.

I love how the dress does all the work making her blue eyes pop.

She simply added a gold belt and Stephen Webster jewels to this stunning yet simple look.

If this is a taster, I can’t wait to see the rest of the collection.

Jena Malone was my joint favourite with Jamie Chung on the red carpet last night at the LA Premiere for “Sucker Punch.”

The indie actress never bores me on the red carpet.

What I love about her is that she never goes for the obvious.

Like on this occasion she wore a Juan Carlos Obando Resort 2011 midriff-baring ensemble.

Her black cropped top was paired with a pink full skirt with a fish-tail hem.

We’re always wanting something a bit different on the red carpet and Jena gave it to us.

The sexy look with an edge was teamed with a Raven Kauffman Couture Garbo clutch and a Brian Atwood ‘Rina’ sandals.

From head-to-toe she was the only one to nail her look last night.

Abbie Cornish wore a vibrant hue on the red carpet for the LA Premiere of her new movie, “Sucker Punch” which was held at The Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood last night.

The Australian actress wore an Amanda Wakeley Spring 2011 gown in electric blue – my favourite red carpet colour.

Her gown has a criss-cross detail on the bodice plus divine draped details from the hips.

It may not have a thigh-high split or bedazzle like her younger co-stars, but she looks very beautiful and elegant.

She completed her look with sapphire drop earrings and a gold envelope clutch.

Vanessa Hudgens joined her co-stars on the red carpet for the LA Premiere of her new movie, “Sucker Punch” which was held at The Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood last night.

I haven’t been a fan of her recent red carpet looks, but she looked fabulous wearing a Jenny Packham Spring 2011 gown.

Her silk chiffon beaded gown with short sleeves had a sexy open-back which she happily showed off to the photographers.

The sultry look was teamed with a colourful “Diamond Box” Rainbow-hued snake patterned minaudière, silver jewels and a sexy wavy updo.

My only problem with this look is that I wish she had dropped the waist like the model, but that would’ve probably made the dress to long on her.

Jessica Alba was spotted arriving at the Radium/Reel FX Creative Studio in Santa Monica, CA yesterday.

The mum-to-be look really relaxed wearing J Brand ‘Love Story’ maternity bell bottom jeans, a black top and a black blazer, but it was her high-end accessories which caught my beady eye.

It looks like Jessica has already moved on from her Dolce & Gabbana ‘Miss Rose’ satchel, because she was spotted carrying a Prada Madras flap bag from the Spring 2011 collection, which also featured in the ad campaign.

This is the perfect bag for Spring. I love the unique texture and the colour. It will surely brighten up any look.

Looking at the soles of Jessica feet, it looks like she snagged a pair of Prada espadrille wedges too.

Her green and black striped peep-toe wedges have a grey, pink and white platform.

I love Jamie Chung. The first time I ever featured her she blew me away so much I gave her BDOTW.

She wowed me again last night at the “Sucker Punch” LA Premiere.

I will love her for life for wearing one of my favourite looks from the Giambattista Valli strapless draped mousseline dress from the Spring 2011 collection.

The yellow dress has a taupe panel which drapes from the waist and a sexy thigh-high split.

She teamed her look with Loree Rodkin chandelier earrings, a Loree Rodkin Peacock feather ring, a silver Judith Leiber “Op Art” embossed leather minaudière and nude Ruthie Davis pumps.

I wish she opted for strappy heels.

Thick brunette waves draped over one shoulder and red lippie completed her look.
