Olivia Palermo In Rachel Roy – Runway To Green Event

Olivia Palermo was at Christie’s in New York City last night to attend the ‘Green Auction: A Bid To Save The Earth’ featuring a ‘Runway to Green’ fashion show which was supported by

I’m usually a huge fan of what Olivia wears, but on this occasion her styling isn’t as impeccable as we’ve come to expect from her.

She wore a long sleeve Rachel Roy Pre-Fall 2011 feather and beaded embellished top, with a pleated marble print Marios for Topshop pleated skirt .

As much as she tried, the two pieces don’t work together.

I applaud Olivia for always bring the high street to the red carpet, but it doesn’t work on this occasion.

There is so much detail on the top that a solid skirt would’ve worked better. It might be the safer and less interesting option, but I would’ve preferred it to what’s currently going on here.

I like the skirt and top combo, but the bag is a bit bland.

I like the skirt and blouse together. What I don’t like is that stark white clutch.

What a mess. She forgot a hat with feathers and polka dotted sheer tights.

Isn’t it that Marios skirt she wore sometime last year, from Topshop?

    Loving everything but the bag

I agree, FC. There is just too much going on with this look.

I actually like everything together save the clutch, but I also agree that the shape of the skirt isn’t completely flattering to her figure.

The skirt makes her look bottom heavy and the shoes and clutch don’t go with the outfit.

I think she was attempting to mimic the print on the underskirt the model wore. It is a complete disaster for me, but plain shoes would have been much better, and pulling her hair back would have made a difference too.

I agree with you completely dear FC. I appreciate Olivia’s style, but not here. Her snakeskin pumps aren’t working for me either.

I actually like the pairing too, what I don’t like are the accessories. Also the skirt makes her look wide, at least in the pic it does.

The color of the clutch ruins the look for me. My eyes see nothing else but that bag. But I love how Olivia keeps her style so interesting.

    I like the look.

I like it.. i think she looks great… My only suggestion is a simpler heel… maybe a solid purple tone.

I agree. I would have changed the clutch too.

I agree. I don’t know where to look. I like every item individually but put together it is not working for me.
