The darling Diane Kruger took to the red carpet in support of the ‘Runway to Green’ event which was held at Christie’s in New York City last night.
We shouldn’t be surprised to see that she’s the first celebrity to wear a look from the Jason Wu Fall 2011 collection, because she often is.
The Kruger/Wu connection is natural marriage of beautiful girlie charm and elegance which both the actress and the collection possess.
Her black silk Radzmire sculpted dress with an ivory underskirt, was paired with an ivory Jason Wu clutch and Jason Wu nude satin pumps which are both from the Fall 2011 collection.
Diane effortlessly styled her look with a shaggy loose plait and gold earrings.
BDOTW?

Love!
Yes, but the shoes could be better!
Nice but I am not wowed by this look because of the dress. It is chic and elegant but not a wow moment. Not BDOTW I say. Krugelz does look lovely as usual!
I agree.
She looks wonderful! Definitely best of the week.
Love it! I agree with the previous poster that the shoes could be better but I love how she managed to make a quite sober, elegant dress a bit more playful and relaxed. She has great style/a great stylist.
She looks gorgeous. I love how chic this dress is and how different it looks from teh runway presentation. Definitely a BDOTW contender pour moi.
I agree!
Gorgeous, definitely a bdotw contender!
the dress is an odd length on her.. plus nude satin pumps for this dress??? it looks pink.. we’ll see her soon enuf on shoe swap
totally bdotw worty. she is a fashion mvp.
Love the volume of the dress.
Love this look on her. Definitely should be up for BDOTW.
i will say im not a fan of this look the hair and makeup are horrible and the bag and shoes are not ideal and the pose doesnt work with this dress. someone like Dita or Reese Witherspoon should have worn this dress its more class than edge which seems to be the more diane thing to Pr
I am not crazy about her hairstyle and the shoes don’t really go well with the dress.
One of my favorite dresses from Jason Wu Fall collection and Diane just makes me love it even more. It has my vote for bdotw!
Like many, I don’t love the shoes, but I still think this is potential BDOTW material. I personally love the way Diane has styled her hair, and her overall playful attitude – she pulls this look off IMO
Yesssss!
I really like the length that Diane chose–it gives the skirt more volume and swing and makes the dress more fun–her take on it is kind of naughty milkmaid and I really like it.
love how playful the look is!
stunning as alwaaaaaaaaays! i was missing on the carpet
The shoes, the earings, the hairstyle don’t go with the dress…should’ve gone for polished and classy instead of playful.
Very early 60s. Very chic. I always love black and white combinations too.
Love the shoes, actually hehe love the all styling!
Adorable!
Adorable and chic on every level.
Love the way this is styled! Its effortless. If she would have polished this look up she would have been too stark which is the Kruger that is blah.
I’m getting a Heidi from the Alps vibe from this dress. I’m expceting her to start yodeling any minute. The braid doesn’t help.
And the shoes are a little too bridesmaid.
You nailed it. I was trying to work out what this look reminded me of.
I’m thinking milkmaid – don’t love the braid, and don’t understand the love for this rather dour dress.
I agree. She looks like a milkmaid! I don’t get the love.
I used to think I was biased. I thought, maybe I only love her dresses because she’s the one wearing them, maybe if it were someone else I’d hate the look. Today, I scrolled down the page and her neck up was cut off and I saw the whole outfit from the neck down and thought: SO CUTE, SO CHIC, WHO’S WEARING THIS?! And then I saw it was her and finally confirmed that my love for Diane Kruger was NOT making me biased, that she is just a damn good dresser.
I do like the dress, but I don’t like the hair or any of the accessories. I like the runway look much better.
I think that this is just a really unfortunate dress.
