Vanessa Hudgens In Jenny Packham – “Sucker Punch” LA Premiere

Vanessa Hudgens joined her co-stars on the red carpet for the LA Premiere of her new movie, “Sucker Punch” which was held at The Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood last night.

I haven’t been a fan of her recent red carpet looks, but she looked fabulous wearing a Jenny Packham Spring 2011 gown.

Her silk chiffon beaded gown with short sleeves had a sexy open-back which she happily showed off to the photographers.

The sultry look was teamed with a colourful “Diamond Box” Rainbow-hued snake patterned minaudière, silver jewels and a sexy wavy updo.

My only problem with this look is that I wish she had dropped the waist like the model, but that would’ve probably made the dress to long on her.

i’m probably the only one who thinks this, but i dont like the gown on vanessa just because she makes it seem more like a maxi beachy dress rather than a beautiful gown. can’t figure out if its because of her curly hair or its because its on her, period.

With the exception of the fit (a little too big), I actually like this on Vanessa. She wore something that’s a little sexy in the back.

Its been a while since Vanessa looked this good. She gets an A for effort for this look. The look is quite simple and elegant.

She looks cute. A very different look for her…love the gorgeous print.

Big fan of the sexy open backs, like the dress but it should’ve been modified to fit her better, it looks a bit big for her. Don’t like the addition of the neklace, it’s unnecessary with all the beading on the dress. Quite good overall.

    loving the sexy back 🙂

This feels very frumpy. I dont like the hair at all. I wish she would’ve pulled it back into a sleek ponytail. That would’ve been great.

She looks beautiful! Love the dress, her hair, & makeup. That clutch is stunning too!

Aside from the dress totally not fitting her personality it looks about 20 years too old for her. The cut and fit make her look like she raided her Grandma’s closet. I would much rather had seen this on Annette Benning than Vanessa Hudgens.

Love the back of the dress!

  11. romina March 24, 2011 at 19:56 #

The front seems to make her look boxy, I wish it was sleeveless or the neckline wider. The back is nice but not the best I’ve seen her. She’s got a tiny waist which she should accentuate and it’s not showing here. That said, the dress is elegant, if not the best for her figure.

i really can’t find anything wrong with all the outfits in this premiere. but aren’t these girls too done up for a movie premiere? i’d understand if it is in Cannes or Venice. Miss Mol’s outfit seems more appropriate for red carpet events like these.

I was thinking the same thing but I guess they just want to have a reason to wear a gown….lol.

what could have been an awesome gown at a gala event wasted on a movie premiere. does the movie even have Oscar contention?

  13. Taylor March 24, 2011 at 17:33 #

The best she’s looked in a long time. Not sure how much lower the waist could have been…looks very similar to the model

The silver line on the models dress is not seem on Vanessa

  14. Rebecca March 24, 2011 at 17:27 #

Somehow this just doesn’t move me. I love her clutch, but the rest of it…maybe it is a tad too old for her.

  15. OZALES March 24, 2011 at 17:12 #

She looks great! My only wish is that she had wore the blet the model is wearing.

This is perfect – I never notice Vanessa much on the RC, but here, a dazzling look.

  17. Alina March 24, 2011 at 16:42 #

    BDOTW contender.

This was a really well dressed event.

    • Megan March 24, 2011 at 19:19 #

I also wonder why this was a well dressed event considering it was a movie premiere and almost everybody wore a gown?

  18. Jenelle March 24, 2011 at 16:37 #

The dress bores me and so does Vanessa Hudgens ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz

  19. dee March 24, 2011 at 15:50 #

    Pretty dress.

  20. Ethne Blist March 24, 2011 at 15:22 #

BDOTW. I am wowed. Everything is perfect. Her and Jenny Packham are a great team.

  21. justme March 24, 2011 at 15:18 #

I think she was smart in not dropping the waist. It makes her bottom half appear longer.
She was my fave at this event.

    • KateS March 24, 2011 at 22:00 #

I agree, I think she’s too tiny to wear a dropped waist on a gown successfully.
She looked gorgeous here – she’s really starting to transition successfully to a more grown-up style.

  22. Sam March 24, 2011 at 15:13 #

Wow wow wow! I really like this look from head to toe. Keep it up V!:)

  23. faith March 24, 2011 at 15:11 #

ADORE this look! It’s sophisticated and elegant yet sexy! I really think she pulled it off this time, I hope this is just the beginning of this fabulous grown up style for her.

I think this is totally BDOTW worthy! A+ Vanessa!
