Michelle Obama greeted her El Salvador’s counterpart Vanda Pignato during a visit to the Ciudad Mujer Center in San Salvador yesterday.
Both women opted for beautiful shades of violet.
Mrs Pignato wore a Christian Dior Resort 2011 scalloped edge sleeveless dress, whilst the First Lady wore one of her favourite designers, Jason Wu.
Her violet pressed daffodil silk faille dress from the Resort 2011 collection was accented with a floral Alexis Bittar brooch on her shoulder.

I like this dress on her but the brooch makes it look frumpy. Also, the over the knee length she always wears needs to be shortened to right above the knee to decrease frumpiness.
Bad choise, too unflattering because of her strong muscular figure…
This trip is just making so ready for warmer weather. They both look great. Mrs O. gorgeous as usual!
Love the look!!! The dress has a spring vibe which I really like!
I think Mrs. Obama looks lovely as usual.
i love the colour on her and the cut. It’s very nice for the hot weather. I also like Mrs Pignato’s dress. I feel bad for her, so looks so small next to Michelle Obama….
They look so happy together. Mrs O, per usual, looks fabulous, and Mrs. P looks like a very athletic woman. And terrific! What a pair.
Mrs Pignato’s dress is Dior from 2011 Resort.
I love MO’s dress but the broach kills it a bit
Thank you.
Love the color on her but the dress (the cut, the length) doesn’t suit her body. don’t like it at all.
Dear FC–do we know who designed the dress she wore to the dinners last night– the ivory and gold brocade with spaghetti straps? She looked sensational last night and the night before in the Sophie Theallet off the shoulder dress in that wonderful winey mauve.
I’m not sure
http://mrs-o.org/
will have it up at some point
It looks like L’wren Scott cause it is similiar to something Nicole Kidman wore
I’m not wowed, but it’s a pretty dress. I like it better than the lavender. It’s a little too Easter-ish.
There was a wonderful article in Harper’s Bazaar US about the First Lady and the new power dressing.
I think she looks great – I like the colour, and I like it on her, and I love her consistency in always accessorising with bangles or a brooch – it’s a nice quirky, distinctive touch.
she looks absolutely sensational here. i love the way she does color ALWAYS. it’s one of her signatures pulling off such bold pieces while maintaining the dignity of the office.
she looks great! i like the color and the cut. Her arms look great as always
