Katie Holmes attended a special screening of her short film “The Decision” in New York City last night.
The actress opted for a sophisticated menswear look for her big night.
Her Stella McCartney Resort 2011 look included a white blazer with black lapels and black cropped pants.
She added fun pair of Dolce & Gabbana polka dotted heels to complete her sultry menswear look.
For me the best thing about this look is that she doesn’t have a 5ft 7in man hanging from her hip.
You may remember that Julia Roberts also wore the same Stella McCartney blazer on the “Late Show with David Letterman” last year.

i actually like her outfit for the first time in a long while. I think the shoes with the dots are cute and it fits her nicely. She has lovely hair…..
I think she loooks lovely – a bit casual maybe, but still, youthful yet poised…….and yes, the missing 5’7″ ‘hanger-on’ is a blessing!
I honestly don’t understand why such a pretty woman would wear such an outfit for her big night. the outfit is not so bad but com on! jeez put a nice dress on

Actually looking at the model, I kinda wished she had kept the top white instead of black.
LOL though it’s thanks to the 5’7 man she even has access to these clothes.
She looks nice.
I don’t like this on her.
For some reason, I am thinking that Tilda Swinton would look better in it. And, I like the white blouse better.
It’s a shame some of the details are lost against the black background, but I think it’s not a bad look for her -at least it’s not another monstrosity from holmes and yang. I’m not sure that cuffing the blazer sleeves was a good move given the proportions of the pants and the overall tailored vibe.

I like this jacket, and I like the shoes. Well, we all know that she doesn’t have an exiting style, I guess also because of his husband. I read somewhere that she really likes to play the role of the classy lady, which is fine if she likes it. I like her here, anyway.
