Kristin Davis was pretty in pink as she took to the red carpet at the 25th Anniversary Genesis Awards in California this weekend.
The ‘Sex And The City’ actress wore a dress by her favourite designer, Oscar de la Renta.
Her pink crinkle chiffon Pre-Fall 2011 dress with velvet straps and bow detail was paired with Miu Miu criss cross patent sandals and a black Judith Leiber “Adrian” curved minaudière.
Whilst Kristin looks beautiful as always, there is something which is throwing me off this look.
It’s the bow.
The bow dominates the whole look plus the bow doesn’t appear to be as dark as the straps.
A bow-less version would’ve been preferred.

The bow and the BROW and the Lipstick. Too bad.
Totally agree about the bow…
The color is great on her. I would have liked a strapless, bow-less version myself.
I agree 100% .
The dress is cheap and meh. It looks like a bad vintage dress.
get rid of that bow.
I am never an advocate of those dress for your age articles that magazines seem to favour but in this case I think the dress would have been more suited to a teenager.
Absolutely! This dress just screams Barbie to me.
The bow makes the dress especially too cutesy.
agree. too twee
i would “BOW” out of the dress!
The bow is sticking out like a sore thumb!
like what you did there
yes, the bow in connection with the hot pink makes it a bit too girlish for a woman her age. It would have been such a simple alteration too. Just snip it off.
I don’t mind the bow. I think it is the same colour as the straps and Kristin’s smile is so youthful and pretty that I think she makes it work.
i am loving the dress but the shoes ruin it for me, would have loved a pair of peep toe pumps with it.
This dress is plain ugly (the color, the design), and she looks awful in it.
I think its the length of the dress with those sandals, it makes her leg look stout and the waist line of the dress is sitting a bit low as well . and yeah the bow is totally not working, although I feel they are the same material/color as the straps, its just the light from the camera.
I think the bow and strap are actually the same color but the straps are catching the light differently. If you look at the close up the edges of the strap have the same reddish tinge as the bow, so it may actually be the same…
agree, and i think everyone is talking about the bow, for me the problem is the pink, hehehe, the same dres in black, white or gold can be totally different
I would love this dress but the neon pink and bow kill it for me.
She needs to face facts… she’s not a kid anymore. This dress is just too young for her.
I have to second, third and fourth everyone on the bow. The coloring doesn’t go well with the dress and looks like an afterthought.
The color reminds me of Jennifer Lawrence’s SAG drees.
Lucky Kristin, got asked to Prom!
I love the dress. But being a lover of pink, I maybe blinded by the neon of this shade.
I don’t like the bow or the velvet (?) straps. Would have been better strapless.
