Pace Wu attended the Swarovski China Event recently.
The gorgeous star wore a two tone grey and pink Roksanda Ilincic Firestone silk-organza and basketweave dress from the Spring 2011 collection.
Her dress is stunning, but I’m sure you’re thinking the same as me…”why ruin the look with that necklace?”
Pace Wu was no doubt obligated to wear the necklace because she was showcasing the piece at this Swarovski, but therefore she shouldn’t have opted for this dress with such a stand-out sculptural detail.
Something had to give and unfortunately in this case it was the dress.

She could have worn a Swarovski clutch and earrings or bracelet. The necklace ruins this. Her shoes aren’t good either.
The necklace is the least of the things wrong with this train wreck.
Well I much prefer this dress on the runway. Pace just has WAY too much of the pink fabric going on. It overwhelms the dress. So much I didn’t even notice the necklace at first!
fabric?! nooo….. I think is a gigant chewing gum someone throw to her! hehehehehehe
Oh I love this. Colors, shape, architecture… Nice. BDOTW for me
at least if the folds were in place and the necklace was a different piece..
Oh I actually love thisd look. There is something dream like a photographic about it, like no on eelse coul dhav epulled it off unless it was in a magazin eeditorial. I ador ethe bold melange and the dreamliek quality it possesses, it is so much better than the runway imo.
I like your description of it having a ‘dreamlike quality’, and I agree that the dress appears so much better than the runway version : )
Actually, at first I thought I was looking at a magazine ad – there IS something dreamlike/photographic about this look. The pink fabric detail and the way its draped (which I agree looks better than the runway version) sort of provides a wonderful background for showcasing the necklace. So, I don’t think the necklace ruins the look, it’s the shoes that I don’t like with it.
I do not like the dress at all. Her makeup and hair are nice.
Her dress just looks kinda like a mess. Prefer her colours but like runway version better. That necklace is killing me.
BDOTW contender for me! Love this dress & I don’t mind the necklace!
Oh dear, she looks like she’s been (poorly) gift-wrapped. What a mess of fabric. The necklace is completely unncessesary, but also the least of the problems with this look.
I think that the dress was ruined the minute that it was made.
Love the shoes.
Hey!
They’re the ones that follow your mouse until you click out of them. Pretty please try to get rid of these!!
I read your blog everyday and you just started to get some annoying ads
Unfortunately I can’t. without those ads I can’t add the pictures.
Pictures are expensive and I spent a fortune during Awards season.
You need adblocker software on your computer, Allie
Her hair is the only thing I like about this look. Hey FC were u able to go to the Elie Saab collection? The master has done it again! What a dreamy collection.
oh yes…never miss it.
What happened to that dress on the way from the runway to her body? It looks like that fabric just exploded all over her.
Mmmm sorry but I have to jump in on this ad thing. Ads are annoying, but broadly speaking it takes time for a blogger to get to the point where you start earning significant money. FC provides us unfailingly with an enjoyable, useful free service – some click love should be expected from us readers. Also I find the ads very targeted (to me anyway in the Middle East). The information on here is so good FC could probably switch to a subscription based service but chooses not to. Thanks FC for that & I really hope brands understand the service you do for them soon & you have enough cash to afford your new Celine bag
thank you xxx
