Marisa Tomei In Julien Macdonald – Chanel and Charles Finch Pre-Oscar Dinner

Marisa Tomei arrived at the Chanel and Charles Finch Pre-Oscar Dinner at Madeo Restaurant in LA not wearing Chanel.

Well she could’ve been wearing Chanel under her Julien Macdonald Spring 2010 coat.

The blush satin trench coat with pleated shoulders is covering a LBD underneath.

I’m not surprised that Marisa wore this coat as she doesn’t shy away from making bold fashion choices as you saw at the Oscars.

I think she totally pull off this coat, which could’ve easily overwhelmed her.

I just love the colour and shoulder details.

That fabric looks so smooth and I love the color. However I do think it kinda overwhelms her. It looks a lot less poofy on the model.

I LOVE the way she styled this coat! so much better than the runway. the lapels look longer, the sleeves a little shorter. Perfection!

I agree, she made great choices (the wide belt on the runway version is transformed into a tie as well). I love how Marisa makes everything her own….

i agree, but i kinda prefer the runway belt for some reason…..

I like the way she’s styled it but the color kind of washes her face out a little. She could have used stronger makeup to balance this.

Completely agree! The color does not work for her.

I like the crispness of the runway version. Marisa’s looks a little droopy. I do like the color. It reminds me of gooey caramel.

Pretty color, but a bit too shiny, and I love shiny.
She looks great. Actually, better than at the Oscars.
