Blake Lively was spotted headed to La Grenouille in New York City on Wednesday night for a dinner party which was thrown in her honor by Chanel.
The “Gossip Girl” actress arrived wearing a Chanel Spring 2009 Couture dress.
Her white swan-like bold shoulder dress was decorated with chiffon and organza ruffled details around the neckline and on the skirt.
The guest of honour who is the face of their Mademoiselle handbag collection added white Christian Louboutin heels and Lorraine Schwartz platinum, green emerald and yellow diamond earrings to her look.
As I’m not a fan of white shoes, I wish she’s worn heels the same colour as her Mademoiselle clutch.
I would never have picked this look for Blake, but she looks angelic in her Couture dress. Unfortunately I don’t see this as a BDOTW contender.

This is pretty but nothing special. I am not wowed. I don’t like her matchy-matchy accessories. An ice blue satin clutch would have been divine.
Wow this is such a great look for her. I like everything from head to toe.
Blake Lively has made some comments on how she thinks celebrities such as herself attending fashionshows, tacky. Its a rather funny statement, considering how she’s attended a fair amount of shows in the past.
I don’t think that is true. I can’t imagine she said that knowing she is the face of Chanel
She never denied it and it’s been going around for almost 2 days so it is true.
That was what I was thinking too. It’s just a really stupid statement to make, and I’m positive her PR team aren’t very happy about it.
She didn’t say that. Fashionista interviewed her at the Chanel dinner and she said no and that she couldn’t attend the Chanel show because she’s got to film GG finale. I’m still surprised Fashionista printed that rumour with little evidence. Plus a bit of common sense on their part would have realised that the story wasn’t true considering she’s been to a million shows and will continue to do so.

I’m the complete opposite, when I see white shoes, I think Fundamentalist in church with an obnoxious hat praising Jesus.
I didn’t really like her look at first but I’m slowly falling in love with it. She’s looking so thin nowadays, makes her look tired.
I believe there’s another fête in Paris in her honour on Saturday.

Wat to matchy matchy. I loved this dress when I first saw it on the runway but Blake kills it (in a bad way) for me. And the shoes do not even get me started.

It’s more like she murders it, just doesn’t look right esp. with the pic. of the model beside hers. Very wrong, certainly don’t see this as a BDOTW contender.

Not a fan, I really really don’t like her shoes. And if Karl Lagerfeld was throwing a party for me, I’d probably have brushed my hair.
I like what she’s wearing but I don’t love the overall presentation. Her hair is just messy which puts me off most of her looks. Stunning earrings though!

I do think the dress is pretty on her, but the shoes ruin it for me. Definitely not BDOTW.
I honestly find Blake so frustrating, because she seems pretty nice, and she has a great body, and usually good taste in clothes, albeit usually showing off her legs and or breasts, but she cannot style a look to save her life IMO. It all looks a little mish-mash. I mind neither the earrings nor the clutch with this stunning dress, but I think with this dress one colour group and simplicity was the key. I also really am not a fan of her hair yet again or her maeup. She doesn;t have the most ‘classic’ beauty face around, she is by NO means ugly, but her makeup always lets her down. Her face looks greasy not glowy and I cannot bear ehr eyebrows any longer.
I’m sorry but IMO she needs stylistic help.

Cute but not interesting or particularly interesting. I’m not a fan of B. Lively but, honestly, I think, as I’ve already written before, that she’s very overrated, she’s a kinda new Mischa Barton. Once there was O.C. now there’s Gossip girl. She doesn’t have what magazines often call K (for Kate Moss) factor. For me, she’s often without blame or praise, she always has the same apathetic expression. If she was going to get married I would have liked this look, but total white is such a dramatic and difficult look. So, not BDOTW, for me.
BDOTW contender for sure. I m loving this look. It’s refreshing and she’s covered again. It’s the confidence that she has that made me like this look. To each his/her own.
