Eva Mendes In Donna Karan – 2011 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Eva Mendes took inspiration from the movie, “Black Swan” when selection her look for the 2011 Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

She wore a custom Donna Karan full-skirted tulle dress with beading details.

This little black dress is really cute. Eva is clearly feed off that vibe from this photo.

I love that even though this look is cute and girlie, sultry Eva still comes out to play.

Black Casadei satin peep toe completed her look. These heels have become a staple in the gorgeous actress’ style.

i really really hate the hairstyle!!! and the skirt start in a very awkward place in the middle of the waist and the hips :S sorry i saw her better in other events

SHUT.THE.FRONT.DOOR!she looks sensational, totally agree with you FC alot of other actresses would try to give off that cutesy ballerina feel but she owned it made it her own and in the process looks sexy as hell!

I WAS feeling bad about how hard you were working, but not any longer, after this spate of beautiful dresses. You live for this, don’t you, FC? Thanks for communicating your love to us!

I love this. I only wish she would have pulled her hair back. Other than that she looks lovely!

She looks great but that’s all.

She plays into her strong suit here – cute but also sexy – and does it very well, love the dress, not exactly what I would expect from Donna Karan.

Sorry. Cannot agree. But I DO agree with TLo who said: “No wonder she looks pissed off. This may be the least flattering thing she’s ever worn.:

smouldering and sexy. but her hair could have been alot nicer.

From the waist up beautiiful, sultry. The cute ballerina skirt just looks wrong.

    i think i love her

  12. Raquel March 1, 2011 at 19:23 #

I love it. And the hair too. Cute and sexy, as someone said.

I like everything about this dress except for the see through part in the midsection. Not quite working for me.

Love the dress, wrong woman. It’s too cutesy for her. It’s like a grown ass woman loving Hello Kitty.

Torn between Gabriella’s and Tamia’s views. It is way sexy…but could be wrong. Eva seems to be having fun, tho.

It’s jsut not flattering. I love the close up shot, but she really needeed to pull up the skirt, teh waist is too low for my liking, and have more volume in the skirt.

  17. Marvel March 1, 2011 at 23:08 #

Not flattering at all. Firstly the dress requires for her hair to be pulled back and I dont think this dress suits her personality. This would have looked better on someone else, I just dont know who

Designer failure imo. Eva makes a dress that is a bit of a mess look better than it is. Maybe this is Karan’s version of “deconstructed”. I’m trying to remember a similar situation where Zac Posen did a custom dress for a celeb which was a bit disappointing. Anyway, I give both Eva and Karan credit for trying something different.
