Claire Danes attended the 2011 Vanity Fair Oscar Party with husband Hugh Dancy on Sunday night.
The Queen of minimalist looked beautiful wearing a Calvin Klein Spring 2011 dress.
Her winter white deep v-neck dress has a simple tie at the waist which she pairs with matching sandals and a silver clutch from the same collection.
Effortlessly chic as always. It looks like she got ready in 5 minutes.

I think she’s too short for this dress tbh. I kept looking at it and I really wanted to LOVE it but it’s just meh to me. She would have looked better in a different dress from that collection.
I agree. She looks stunning and beautiful. She is, as you said, the Queen of minimalist.
I like her, the minimalist thing but the dress is just toooo loose – it doest nothing to her body.
do not like. if it was a suit maybe — but this looks like a bad bathrobe. i get the idea but yuck. it is frumpy and makes her look frail and sickly.
zzzz soeey fell asleep this is such a borefest!
Five minutes? More like one minute — long enough to pull on the hotel bathrobe. Too minimalist.
LOL! Agree completely.
Yep, she in deed looks like she got dressed in 5 minutes. Perhaps if she spend another 5 she would have managed to loose the bathrobe and put a proper dress on…
you guys are making me laugh so hard.
lol, definitely a bathrobe vibe. I love well-executed minimalism, but this isn’t it.
it does look like she got ready in five minutes – just enough time to pick out a seriously unflattering and illogical outfit for a once-a-year event.
minimalism is hardly the only category that suffices for good taste!
i’m afraid i can only see this as majorly disappointing.
Not to mention ill-fitting
No, worst look I have seen from Claire in a long time. I cant stand to see a flat breast plate. It is no for her and the model.
This is a complete fail for me, and I love CK. Part of the problem is the waist falls much lower on Claire vs the runway model, and so it really does start to look like a bathrobe instead of a beautifully draped dress. That’s the thing with the minimalist look, you cannot get any of the details wrong, which is why, for me anyway, when someone pulls it off, I get such a feeling of exhilaration…….Claire does not wow me at all here!
the problem with her is that she has a looong torso. Sh has to choose carefully her dresses, since she’s not that tall.
fitted looks so much better on her.
This awful! It looks so much better on the runway model.
Plain horrible including her hair.
“It looks like she got ready in 5 minutes”
Indeed. Unfortunately, that’s not a compliment coming from me. She has a long torso so maybe plunging v-necks aren’t for her and I agree with the person who said that the waist falls too low on her.
Her accessories are a big snoozefest so no redemption there :/
this is bad it looks like a coat.
Really bad, imo. She looks all wrong in it, the waist, the length, the breasts, the shape. Sorry.
I disagree, it looks like a nightgown/bathrobe and she looks too short for the dress. Looks much better on the model.
Hate the dress on her. She is totally being shown up by Daphne Groenveld, who looks uber chic. And why, oh why wear those shoes. They are hideous. In my opinion at least.
I love you Claire but wearing outfits like this, you may as well put a target on your forehead.
All wrong! This dress could be stunning if executed properly, but she doesn’t even have it tailored right!
I could get ready in five minutes too if all I did was jump out of the shower and throw on a bathrobe. Guess you can tell I don’t like it.
I honesty don’t like anything about this look. she looks like she really spent 5mintes picking the dress and getting ready.
I thought I would be the only one disagreeing with redcarpet-fashionawards, but it seems that others agree – it is way too big for her. I like it though, but it needs to fit.
