Abbie Cornish looked breath-taking at the 2011 Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday night.
Like Florence Welch, the Australian actress is a huge fan of Elie Saab.
Abbie’s divine Elie Saab gown was embroidered with sequins which is why she’s dazzling us on the red carpet.
I adore the silhouette. She knows how to give us effortless glamour.
Abbie sported marcel waves and carried a black clutch to complete her Old Hollywood red carpet look.

I’m enjoying the after party outfits more than the Oscar ones.
This dress is gorgeous, especially with her curves. The only thing I’m not totally on board with is the hair. I think it ages her a little and also accentuates her forehead somehow.
Can you please put up Jessica Biel? I’d love to know who designed her gorgeous dress. Thanks!
Versace..of course
xxxx
Something about this woman–she never sells me when she dresses up. She always looks to me like she’s about to run out for a game of tennis.
I think she looks beautiful- she is a beautiful woman. This is not a BDOTW look, but is definitely a plus.
Ditto.
Love the gown, don’t like the hairdo on her.
me either. I would actually like it if she went for a straight Jennifer Aniston do. And I know Jennifer Aniston’s hair is the source of much hatred on here, because it’s all she does, but for Abbie Cornish I think it would be nice to make the look more modern.
Gorgeous. It ages a bit, but it’s obvious with old Hollywood looks. The dress is so beautiful. One my favorite, maybe.
Gorgeous. Like Ethne said, not BDOTW worthy but a good look
This is one beautiful dress – the black here just glows and is so strong; and the shape, the embroidered sequins and fit all make this a ‘beyond just black’ gown – to me at least. I think it deserves a chance at the best dressed.
Sleek, sparkly, and classic. She looks beautiful.
The dress is gorgeous! Divine! Love it! But…I really do not like the hair with it. I just think some of these actresses try too hard to be old hollywood that they look like they are playing dress up. Effortless glamour is the best and really we need to move forward. Why the same old old hollywood look on the red carpets? We need to have a look for the 2010s people!
Ahhh Elie
