The Jil Sander Fall 2011 collection felt sportier in comparison to Spring.

Raf Simons still played with bright colours and most looks had volume; skirts, coats and dresses.

But it wasn’t all about volume. This ski wear inspired collection presented us with a lot of body-conscious looks.

We saw a lot of black in this collection, but it served to enable the bold red, royal blue, yellow and green looks pop on the well lit venue.

I also loved the winter floral pieces which really stood out.

Some of my favourite pieces from this collection included the cocoon pieces with the arms lined up perfectly with the pockets.

The models were styled with conical hair, red lips and blue eyeshadow.

Minimalist went maxi on this occasion. The normally poker faced fashion crowd couldn’t help but raise a smile during this presentation.

The key accessories were two-tone clutches, totes and wedges.

Front Row: Anna Wintour

Favourites: Teal cocoon dress and mustard 3/4 length sleeve dress

Who I See Wearing This Collection: Tilda Swinton

I Knew This Wouldn’t Work Off The Runway Award
Zoe Saldana arrived at the 2011 Independent Spirit Awards which were held in LA yesterday afternoon.

She wore a Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2011 top and skirt with leopard print and white embroidery.

I love her coral suede Brian Atwood ‘Maniac’ pumps, but that’s all I like.

The print and embroidery combination of her Dolce & Gabbana ensemble doesn’t work for me. It never did.

I was hoping this would be one of the looks left as a runway look, so I’m disappointed that Zoe wore it.

Hopefully she will have a chance to redeem herself later on tonight.

The Emporio Armani Fall 2011 collection featured all black looks with pops of colour coming from two Mongolian lamb fur jackets.

With the inspiration being, ‘The Spy’ Mr Armani presented many textures, shapes, styles and cuts to ensure that there was plenty of variety.

We saw a selection of elegance pieces including classic chic blazers, collarless blazers, jumpsuits, floor length coats, capes draped over shoulders, fitted maxi skirts and pants which had the pockets on the outside.

Mr Armani layered many looks. Silk harem pants which were layered with skirts and fitted dresses were paired with slim pants.

Key accessories included black caps which the ‘Spies’ hid behind. Kitten heels, totes, leather shin-guards paired with flats.

The cutest accessory was a dog one of the models carried which was kitted out in an Armani jacket. The pooch was a natural as he/she seemed unfazed by the bright lights and loud music.

Pops of colour came via the Mongolian lamb fur bags in purple, green and blue.

Front Row: Tina Turner and Ricky Martin

Favourites: Mongolian lamb fur jacket paired with sequined top and tapered pants and asymetrical jumpsuit

Who I See Wearing This Collection: Angelina Jolie, Megan Fox, Emily Blunt, Natalie Imbruglia, Monica Bellucci and Jodie Foster

Halle Berry was our Best Dressed this week.

She wore a stunning raspberry Couture gown by my favourite designer Elie Saab to the 13th Annual Costumer Designers Guild Awards in Beverly Hills this week.

We saw a few Elie Saab looks this week, but Halle was the only one to knock it out of the fashion ball park.

Let’s pray she keeps this up.
