Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Best Lady Who Wore Red Award
Sandra Bullock looked sensational at the 2011 Oscars last night.

The mother of one wore a Vera Wang custom gown.

She was on trend wearing the colour of the night – red – but her silk faille mermaid gown with double bustier and origami bow at back stood out more than the others.

I love how she wasn’t afraid to add red lippie and a red croc leather clutch to this look.

She accessorized with Jimmy Choo’s ‘Vita’ platform heels and Harry Winston jewels.

The classical glamorous look was completed with a chic updo.

Just OK Award
Aishwarya Rai looked beautiful as she walked the red carpet at the 2011 Oscars last night.

She wore a Giorgio Armani Prive Fall 2010 gown.

The bronze strapless fully embellished amber sequins gown was accented with a beaded detail gathered at the waist.

To accessories the beautiful gown the Indian actress carried a simple Jimmy Choo ‘Lana’ clutch bag in the same hue as her gown.

Vintage jewelery and smoky eyes complete the simple yet elegant look.

I think Aishwarya has had much better red carpet moments. This is great, but I’m not wowed by it and I expect her to wow every time. She does much better at Cannes Film Festival.

Here are the rest of the looks Anne Hathaway wore whilst presenting the 2011 Oscars with James Franco last night.

The 6th look of the night was a corseted Vivienne Westwood Couture embroidered lace gown which was a perfect look for Anne.

My least favourite on the night was her Tom Ford smoky grey lace gown which was adorned with crystals.

Between the long sleeves and high neckline it feels to covered and restrictive to me. I did love her hair with this look though.

Anne’s final look – which is also the same dress she wore to the Vanity Fair party – is from the Atelier Versace Spring 2011 collection.

The strapless burgundy silk chiffon gown with intricate beading and draping on the bustier was paired with a black Roger Vivier clutch.

This look is in my top 2 after Armani Privé.

Anne Hathway looks like she’s having a blast presenting the 2011 Oscars with James Franco tonight.

I would too if I got to play dress up several times in one evening.

The first white look is a Givenchy Fall 2009 Couture gown. The bustier white gown is embroidered with crystals details over the bodice.

For her second look she opted for a masculine look in a role reversal skit with James Franco.

She wore a Lanvin black tuxedo with satin lapels which was paired with matching pants and a Lanvin white tuxedo shirt.

Brian Atwood custom black satin ‘Fiona’ pumps which were covered with Swarovski crystals and a black bow-tie completed her look.

My favourite look is this purple sapphire Giorgio Armani Privé Spring 2011 gown.

The luminescent duchesse satin off-the-shoulder dress with a fitted bodice and a high back slit was paired with stunning silver jewels.

The fourth look was an Oscar de la Renta Fall 2011 one-shoulder silver beaded tassel embroidered gown.

On this occasion she opted for wavy locks.

Which is your favourite look of these 4?

Wow. Just Wow Award
Oprah Winfrey dazzled on stage at the 2011 Oscars tonight in LA.

The media mogul was at the ceremony to present ‘Best Documentary.’

She graced the stage looking absolutely divine wearing a custom Zac Posen charcoal grey gown.

What I love about this gown are ombre sequins.

Oprah doesn’t do glamour very often, but when she does, she does it very well.

I would’ve loved to have seen this on the red carpet.

Best British Export Award
We usually see Florence Welch at music awards, but as one of the performers at the 2011 Oscars she was also walked the red carpet.

She opted to wear a Valentino Spring 2011 Couture maxi dress.

I’m glad she stayed true to her style by wearing this yellow long sleeve dress with pleated organza and chantilly lace. I love the romantic nature of this look and the flowing tiered skirt.

We are well used to seeing Florence wear this type of colour, so in future I’d love to see her be more daring with colours as she is with her style.
