Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: February 2011

Kate Bosworth looked adorable in orange whilst taking her seat in the front row at the Calvin Klein Fall 2011 presentation during New York Fashion Week last week.

She wore a sleeveless dress which she paired with Derek Lam black booties and a Derek Lam Ram’s Head Buffalo leather mini bag.

I’ve been well over the ankle boot trend for a while now, but Kate makes them work with her look to give her uptown look a downtown vibe.

I love her super straight blonde locks and flawless make-up.

Diane Kruger attended the closing ceremony for the 61st Berlin International Film Festival yesterday in Germany.

She looked angelic wearing a Vionnet Spring 2011 dress.

Diane wore her hair in a loose wavy updo so we could see the rope neck detail of her ivory creponne silk dress which also has a bakelite chain around the waist.

I love everything about this look from the flawless make-up to the loose easy nature of her dress, which is gorgeous without being dramatic.

Diane always knows how to make the right impact on the red carpet.

Carrie Underwood was the first to wear this stunning red Edition by Georges Chakra Fall 2010 gown last year to the 2010 American Country Awards.

The Country music singer wore her asymmetrical red chiffon gown with beaded cummerbund and beaded tulle bodice with Rene Caovilla gold heels, Coomi jewels and a gold Rene Caovilla sequin clutch.

Sarah ‘try way too’ Harding wore the same dress to be 2011 BAFTA Awards last week.

She totally ruins the look for me with the full on red lips, eye make-up, frizzy locks, red platform heels and black clutch.

There is nothing subtle about this look. It’s too ‘in ya face’ for my liking.

Class and sophistication wins over desperate to be noticed, so Carrie wins for me.

We breathed a collective sigh of relief when Nicole Kidman hit the red carpet at the 2011 Grammy Awards this week.

The Nicole Kidman we all know and love was back.

Despite Lady GaGa’s egg, Nicki Minaj’s head-to-toe leopard Givenchy print and Katy Perry’s wings, we only had eyes for Nicole in Jean Paul Gaultier Couture.

This BDOTY worthy look definitely deserves a place in Nicole’s red carpet hall of fame.

Which other looks would you place in her Hall of Fame?

I would add her red Balenciaga gown as worn to the 2007 Oscars.
