Cameron Diaz showed off those enviable legs on the red carpet at the 2011 Vanity Fair Oscar Party in West Hollywood, California last night.
She opted to wear at Carolina Herrera Pre-Fall 2011 dress.
The abstract leopard print lame one shoulder cocktail dress was shortened from the runway.
Anita Ko earrings, Jimmy Choo ‘Glint’ black open-toe booties, a Judith Leiber black clutch and a Lanvin gold cuff completed her look.
As much as I love fact that she’s showing off her best assets the dress appears to be tight around her thighs.

You two are so right–it would have looked fabulous and sexy on her if she had worn it in the original length.
I prefer the runway version — or maybe if Cameron’s dress was a smidge longer, it would look better – and if it wasn’t too tight. Not a fan of the shoes either. Darn – I really like Cameron but not loving the look.

I wish it were a little mroe relaxed. I feel like if you were behind her there would have been some derriere showing. I will never be a fan of her shoes, but I think gold sandals would have been a tiny bit too obvious and regular really. Everything else is perfection.
I saw a close-up shot of her from the back at Getty Images and yikes … it was soooo tight and uncomfortable looking. I have no idea how she SAT DOWN in this?!

There are pictures of her sitting down with Jude Law and Gwyneth Paltrow – she had her clutch on her lap haha.
No matter how short her dresses are, she is good about not showing “the goods” haha.
I cant believe she wore this, I mean seriously. This is an oppurtunity to wear some of the most amazing dresses and she wears something that could be worn on a night out to a fancy resteraunt. Questionable choice.

It’s way too short.
Too short, tight and shiny. A little subtlety would have been appreciated.
I wish they’d left it the runway length or not shortened it that much. The length it is now throws off the proportions of the dress.
I love Cameron D but I’m not so sure I like this look on her for the Oscars party circuit. Maybe it’s because I expect more from Cameron but this look is better say in May or June.
Like Nina Garcia says, the quickest way to look cheap is too tight, too short, and too shiny.

A bigger size and a slightly longer hemline would have made all the difference. So, unfortunate because I love that print.

I’m not sure the modified dress is Carolina Herrera anymore. Total identity change, but I love it. The short length (albeit tight around the thighs) and edgy footwear looked so exciting. Otherwise, we’d just see a taller, boring Renee Zellweger (I bet Ms. Zellweger would’ve worn pumps like the model or peep toe, kitten heels and all that blah).
The dress looks too tight and too short and that’s tacky IMO. Love her legs thou
She could wear more elegant shoes, and if the skirt was longer it could be a nice look. She has an amazing body, but the skirt is too short. 15 cm of more fabric would have been better.
Clearly Ms. Diaz was headed out to dinner with A Rod when Gwyneth called to ask why the hell she wasn’t at the VF Oscar bash. So she ditched A Rod and went running to the bash without changing into something more appropriate! This is a hot mess.

I’m really disappointed in Cameron’s choice. It’s a good dress, but way too short and tight in her version. And the shoes, while I do like them, are just all wrong with the dress. Lucky she’s got those fantastic legs so she isn’t a total mess,
She made the dress and herself look cheap by shortening it.
