Anne Hathaway In Valentino Couture – 2011 Oscars

Only Miss Hathaway Can Pull This Off Award
Anne Hathaway opted for an old Hollywood look at the 2011 Oscars tonight.

She does this type of look so well.

I loved seeing her work this Valentino Fall 2002 Couture gown on the red carpet.

She swished the train several time to create the perfect Kodak moment.

On some this red taffeta gown with train and floral appliqué would’ve overwhelmed the wearer, but Anne is a pro when it comes to working the red carpet and it showed tonight.

She was as graceful as ever.

One down, many more to come.

I think it was obvious she was in Valentino when she shows up on the arm of the designer :)

A lot of red dresses on the carpet, but she is looking amazing.

I’m sorry to disagree but i don’t like anything about this look…really dissapointed.

  4. Shaina February 28, 2011 at 00:42 #

  5. Jones19 February 28, 2011 at 00:43 #

She looks amazing as usual. Gorgeous, can’t wait to see what she changes into during the course of the show.

Breathtaking but have you seencate blanchett? She was a vision of perfection in her givenchy gown. I dont think anybody will be able to topmthat for me tonight!

I like the idea that she is wearing Vintage Valentino but I dont like it. The back is to overwhelming on her and I dont like the bright red lipstick not the messy. I’m hoping I can like her other dresses but right now its a thumbs down.

I must say I was waiting to be WOWED by her but Im not. Lets hope she doesnt make me eat my words later on.

She looks amazing as usual. Gorgeous, can’t wait to see what she changes into during the course of the show. She’s one of my favorites on every red carpet.

anne hathaway is always predictable to me

  11. robbie February 28, 2011 at 00:48 #

gorgeous from the front but from the back it is a mess.

  12. Barbara February 28, 2011 at 00:49 #

    Agree actually.
Don’t love the dress but love it on Anne…because of her attitude, confidence and the hair (LOVE IT) and make up are beautiful!

This feels like a giant mish-mosh of what she’s worn before. The Valentino from Venice Film Festival combined with the red Marchesa and the hair and makeup which I feel like I’ve seen before. It doesn’t feel like the total original moment I wanted this to be.

I don’t really like the dress, esp. the tail. It could’ve been a disaster on someone else. But Anne’s grace saved it. She looked beautiful above waistline. I particularly like her relaxed hair style.

  15. Marlyn February 28, 2011 at 01:05 #

I don’t like this at all. She looks pretty but that is about it. Nothing original here. I was expecting more.

  16. Ariel February 28, 2011 at 01:08 #

I was really looking forward to Anne’s appearance. She doesn’t blow me away this time. The gown is rather messy.

  17. PamG February 28, 2011 at 01:39 #

Don’t like this look. The dress makes her look bottom heavy, and the lacement of the rosettes are not flattering.

  18. Ev February 28, 2011 at 01:52 #

I like it, but I don’t love it, mostly because I am still hoping for her to wow me tonight. Fingers crossed.

It’s fine, but it’s not great. Hopefull it’s just an opening gambit.

I don’t like this dress. The color is beautiful on her, but I can’t put my finger on it. I am just not wowed.

  21. Lucy February 28, 2011 at 03:23 #

How can you remember the dress from years ago, FC? You are more amazing than the dress!

  22. Ethne Blist February 28, 2011 at 03:48 #

I saw MEH. SNOOZLEZ. This is not an Oscar gown Rachel Zoe and Miss Hathaway. Golden Globes, whatever, but not Oscars. She looks nice, but this is no way BDOTW or even one of the best dressed.

  23. Ingrid kwong February 28, 2011 at 05:19 #

Anne looks soooo stunning from head to toes, totally valentino ♥ she’s always been one of the most beautiful women in hollywood. I can’t imagine anyone who would look as good as her in this dress, it really suits her, but she always looks gorgeous in red anyway. She looks the best out of all the actresses tonight and also her best look yet.

looks great from the neck down

  25. Danielle February 28, 2011 at 06:25 #

Not very impressed about this look. She looks good, but that’s all.I didn’t get the “wow” effect.

  27. nicky February 28, 2011 at 09:01 #

she wears the dress very well and pulls it off but i still don’t like it. the material just looks cheap and i agree about how the design looks messy in general.

  28. Jess February 28, 2011 at 13:06 #

hmm don’t like the material, colour or cut. thumbs down!

  29. marian February 28, 2011 at 16:32 #

she looks amazing. way better than the runway (which i realize is dated – but did that ever look good?). perfectly styled, zoe. not my favorite look of the night, but a great start.

  30. Amelia February 28, 2011 at 17:16 #

this dress reminded me a lot of another one, worn by Penélope Cruz at the David di Donatello awards in Italy, 2004. That dress was also by Valentino, and a much better version, imo

  31. Katie March 8, 2011 at 15:14 #

    I think she looks amazing
