Amy Adams In L’Wren Scott – 2011 Oscars

L’Wren Scott Isn’t Just For Nicole Kidman Award
On Nicole Kidman’s Oscar post, some of you have said, “At least she’s not wearing L’Wren Scott”.

Well Amy Adams is going to make you eat your words because I think she looked outstanding on the red carpet at the 2011 Oscars tonight wearing a dress from L’Wren Scott’s recent Fall 2011 collection.

The purple caviar-bead embroidered dress was worn with emerald and silver Cartier jewels.

I think I prefer the darker coloured accessories as presented on the runway.

Salvatore Ferragamo black satin shoes and Hollywood waves completed her look.

Very classic glamourous look! She looks beautiful. I love the color of the dress on her complexion and think that the green jewels compliment the deep blue/purple of the dress nicely. Love the bracelet!

I agree. She looks fabulous. Amy loves chic. She and L’Wren are a good match. The Kidman-Wren contract has worn itself out. On with the new!

I didnt realize how good this looking until now.

Purple? When I first saw it on style.com I swore it was blue. But who cares because Amy looks gorgeous. This would’ve looked good on Nicole, but it looks amazing on Amy. Significantly better than her SAG and Golden Globe looks.

I thought it was blue also….it looks blue to me. Maybe up close its purple.

She is my second best dressed after Queen Blanchett

  5. Raquel February 28, 2011 at 02:46 #

This look is growing up on at warp speed. I wish her hair was redder, though.

  6. KateS February 28, 2011 at 02:47 #

she looks great, I love the neckline and silhouette. Not sure that I wouldn’t prefer earrings to the necklace, but she still looks lovely.

  7. Elisa February 28, 2011 at 02:48 #

Terrible, but I don’t expect much better from her.

  8. Lexi February 28, 2011 at 02:50 #

My favorite look from the Oscars by far. This is her best look in ages.

  9. Jen February 28, 2011 at 02:51 #

This is one of my favourites of the night, right down to the slit.

I think that color is very pretty on her. I don’t like the jewelry.

  11. Ariel February 28, 2011 at 02:56 #

Amy looks great! Stunning gown and jewels! Absolutely sparkling!

  12. Dirk February 28, 2011 at 02:57 #

She does look great. I mean, I do like L’Wren Scott. Her stuff is simple and gorgeous. But when you’re someone like Nicole Kidman who can pull off daring and fantastic, wearing simple and gorgeous all the time tends to get a bit boring, if that made any sense.

    • Fashion Critic February 28, 2011 at 03:04 #

      yep it does

  13. Jones19 February 28, 2011 at 03:12 #

It’s blue not purple no? It looks blue on TV. Anyway I love the dress on her but that necklace just kills it.

    • mol February 28, 2011 at 03:25 #

      agreed…..too bad.

  14. robbie February 28, 2011 at 03:33 #

the necklace ruins it. i hate when people have such high necklines on an outfit and then wear a necklace.

    • Kaylie February 28, 2011 at 05:02 #

      Agree completely.

  15. Nat February 28, 2011 at 03:44 #

Love it!!! She looks gorgeous and so sofisticated!! A Diva!

  16. Ashley February 28, 2011 at 03:48 #

Love this! One of my favorites.

  17. candice February 28, 2011 at 05:35 #

necklace does not go with the high neckline dress.

come on amy! stop trying to be different. it just doesn’t work!

Amy looks fabulous! Love the color and sparkle (though i thought it was blue as well?).
Not completely sure if the necklace works but i think this is one of the best looks of the night.

  19. mimi February 28, 2011 at 06:53 #

she would have been my best dressed of the night if it weren’t for the necklace. the necklace completely ruins this look for me. I felt this way about amy adams 2 years ago too. her red carolina herera dress was gorgeous but her plastic looking necklace ruined it.

  20. Me February 28, 2011 at 07:42 #

Looked beautiful on stage under the lights.

  21. Andreea February 28, 2011 at 08:03 #

    I knew she wouldn’t dissappoint me !

  22. nicky February 28, 2011 at 08:53 #

stunning. she looks so poised and elegant. i love how she matched the jade/emerald jewellery with the royal blue dress. she definitely wears this dress with justice more than the model. love this look!

  23. Emi February 28, 2011 at 09:48 #

I love everything about this look except the necklace, which is nonsense with this dress. I think she wore it only because at the Oscars you must wear jewelry. Even the most important and paid stylists do lots of mistake, as this one.

  24. Kimma February 28, 2011 at 11:10 #

I didn’t think the cut suited her shape at all. She looks top heavy in the dress, which isn’t helped by the necklace.

  25. Marvel February 28, 2011 at 12:20 #

I love it. I love the jewels (apparently 1.5 million worth!). I love Amy and this is a vast improvement from her Oscar look a couple of years ago. I also loved the slit from the back of the dress

  26. marian February 28, 2011 at 15:43 #

i think she looks amazing but i’d ditch the necklace and add a bunch of bracelets.

  27. emily February 28, 2011 at 18:03 #

    That necklace is just wrong.

  28. Hannah February 28, 2011 at 19:46 #

If I had been one of those to have said that on Nicole kidman’s post I would bey no means be eating my words. Nicole may be changing, but I think it is obviosu that Amy adams brings the ‘za za zhou’ to this dress. On nicole I could expect a borign pose, boring hair, boring jewels. I really love how Amy Adams pulls out all the stops on every single dress, her use of sparkle is beyond. Shr is easily on eof the best dressed of the night, an dprobably in hollywood athe the moment.
