Best Dressed Award
Natalie Portman was my Best Dressed at the 2011 Independent Spirit Awards yesterday.
She looked lovely wearing a Givenchy Couture custom-made dress.
The full-skirted beige silk chiffon dress has yellow lace details and a grosgrain yellow waistband which sits on top of her baby bump.
Her accessories included a yellow Givenchy clutch and Stella McCartney faux patent-leather cut-out pumps.
The glowing mother-to-be completed her look with Cartier jewels.

Guess I’m the only one who doesn’t like it. Don’t care for the yellow color at all and the belt looks a little wanky. For once though, the vegan shoes don’t distract from the look. They are a good choice for the dress. With that beautiful face though, I don’t think Natalie can ever look bad.
I agree with you. Its not working. This would be an amazing dress on Hailee Steinfeld though. She has the energy to work it as where natalie is like a blank canvas. No personality whats so ever.

Don’t like it at all, too girly-girly, she looks like a pregnant teenager. The waistband isn’t working, in my opinion, it sort of restricts her baby bump. Her hair is messy. A brighter lipstick would’ve been better. Love the shoes though.

Love the dress, it is stunning and so, so interesting, but I hate the hair. It is not as if it could be blamed on the wind, as her dress look still as a statue. It looks liek labour hair to me, a la kate hudson, which is clearly a few weeks, or months, early. I also disliek the yellow belt placement, it irks me how it bends around the bump, showing off the seam of the skirt and top.
