The Only One Who Stepped Out Of The Box Award
Mia Wasikowska hasn’t been on the red carpet for a while, but she made a return at the 2011 Independent Spirit Awards in LA yesterday afternoon.
She was one of the few to wear something a bit adventurous as she opted for a Rodarte for Opening Ceremony layered ruffled dress with lace panels.
Mia added white and silver Nicholas Kirkwood two tone heels, which I’m not crazy about, but at least they’re not pumps.

I dont like this at all. Her hair is plain, it should be down and wavy to balance her legs. The shoes are wrong. The dress doesnt work on her. Just no.
Great look, just wish she would pose and not stand awkwardly like that. I like the dress and the shoes but not together unfortunately.
Horrible shoes, don’t go with the dress at all, make her legs look stompy.(at least she didn’t wear them on top of socks! Good for her)

The shoes are too heavy for the dress. And, the dress is too tight.
I like this dress on Mia but she made it meh with the shoes. I don’t know how it is possible to make Kirkwoods meh, but Mia does it. This is fresh though.
