The Jil Sander Fall 2011 collection felt sportier in comparison to Spring.
Raf Simons still played with bright colours and most looks had volume; skirts, coats and dresses.
But it wasn’t all about volume. This ski wear inspired collection presented us with a lot of body-conscious looks.
We saw a lot of black in this collection, but it served to enable the bold red, royal blue, yellow and green looks pop on the well lit venue.
I also loved the winter floral pieces which really stood out.
Some of my favourite pieces from this collection included the cocoon pieces with the arms lined up perfectly with the pockets.

The models were styled with conical hair, red lips and blue eyeshadow.
Minimalist went maxi on this occasion. The normally poker faced fashion crowd couldn’t help but raise a smile during this presentation.

The key accessories were two-tone clutches, totes and wedges.

I love this collection (and the spring one). I think Jackie O. would look really good wearing either collection.
Beautiful collection, some have mentioned looks that recall Audrey Hepburn in Charade, but I thought of Capucine in The Pink Panther……maybe it was the hairstyle of the models…….anyway, I loved it all.
Yuk, it all looks like stuff you could find in a charity store.
