Fendi Fall 2011

The Fendi Fall 2011 collection intends to keep us very warm with thick luxe materials like wool, fur, suede, leather and shearling.

All the pieces looked comfortable and relaxed.

I love the Fall colours I’m seeing here in Milan. Fendi presented a rich colour palette of jade, mustard, cherry, violet, teal, black and burgundy.

I found the rosette and fur details on the front many of the looks really interesting. They looked like ruffled and furry bibs.

We also saw high-waisted trousers, multicoloured leather, fur collars on shirts, shimmering blouses knitted fur coats and pencil skirts.

Karl teased us with some back-to-front looks. Some dresses felt like they were back to front, but I particularly loved the shearling/suede coat which was worn inside out. You have to love Karl’s sense of humour.

The collection was very contemporary yet strangely it also had a 70s retro feel to it which seems to be the trend for Fall 2011 Milan Fashion Week.

Key accessories included bags, Mary Jane heels with a contrasting heel, coloured tights and coloured frame sunglasses.

Front Row: Bianca Brandolini d’Adda and Anna Wintour

Favourites: Fur vest, ruffled blouse and tapered pants plus inside out shearling coat inside out

Who I See Wearing This Collection: Rachel Zoe, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Dasha Zhukova, Kate Beckinsale, Carey Mulligan, Bianca Brandolini D’Adda, and Katie Holmes

Love those bags! Reminds of when I was a kid and we would get new shoes and a purse to go with our Easter outfit. So pretty.

I think this collection is fantastic. I love the coats and the colours so much, it’s perfection. I’m drooling over everything…
