Kristin Davis In Oscar de la Renta – 13th Annual Costumer Designers Guild Awards

Kristin Davis was the belle of the ball at the 13th Annual Costumer Designers Guild Awards which was held in Beverly Hills last night.

She wore a princessy Oscar de la Renta Spring 2011 strapless gown.

The ivory silk tulle and black dot embroidered gown was accented with a black satin bow belt.

The Oscar de la Renta devotee picked the perfect dress for her.

I would’ve been dying over this look if she’s worn her hair back.

It’s minor, but I think it would’ve made the world of difference.

BDOTW worthy??

I think open hair looks great with strapless gowns and the dress is dreamy…

Oh I hate to say it – I think she’s too old for big polka dots. The dress is GORGEOUS and fun, but it just seems a little toooo princess.

  3. Moxie February 23, 2011 at 14:59 #

    Another worthy BDOTW contender!

lordy lordy, first Halle looking like a siren in Saab and now Kirsten looking dazzling in de la Renta. BDOTW is getting a lot more interesting now.

I do not think this is BDOTW worthy. Sure, she looks cute and she is an Oscar de la Renta darling, but I can’t get past the fact that this is just a polka dot black and white gown. Meh in my books. I would have loved red lippie and a red satin clutch for cutesyness.

I agree – with a gown this cutesy, she needed to go all-out with the styling. Chignon and red lips, at least.

LOVE this. Saw a picture of her last night and was hoping that you would post this dress. Definitely BDOTW worthy.

Absolutely BDOTW! Best dress I’ve seen in a long while. It’s amazingly and simply beautiful.

  8. Lee Ann February 23, 2011 at 15:23 #

This is so her! I do think given her age itvwas more flattering having her hair down

  9. justme February 23, 2011 at 15:37 #

I like her hair down better. Pulled back, it would’ve been too much/too made up.
And yes, she’s definitely BDOTW material.

      Ditto.

I love the gown but it overwhelms her frame. I just can’t get excited over it because of that. I wish she’d pull her hair back too.

  17. Nia February 23, 2011 at 16:29 #

LOVE IT! Yes, definitely a BDOTW contender.

Hair needed to be back but it’s still a gorgeous dress. I’d feared people would shy away from the polka dots and not wear it. I’m happy Kristin went for it. She looks gorgeous. Should be in the BDOTW poll IMO.

  21. Sinead February 23, 2011 at 17:43 #

    Awful. Sorry

  22. Jones19 February 23, 2011 at 18:59 #

I love polka dots and big dresses but not necessarily together. I’m iffy on this one.

  23. karen February 23, 2011 at 19:05 #
