The Michael Kors Fall 2011 presentation was a celebration of his 30th anniversary in the fashion business.
He celebrated his milestone by presenting a sleek collection of wearable glamour reminiscent of the 70s but with an updated minimalism.
I loved the disco soundtrack which played in the background as the models took to the runway. I was especially singing along to Odyssey’s “Native New Yorker.”
We saw sexy jersey dresses, sequins, silk, fur, perfectly tailored pant suits, timeless luxe wool coats and jumpsuits.
The luxurious collection had touches of shimmer via the crystal embellished on a few of the looks.
Classic pieces were amped up with dramatically deep cuts and thigh-high slits.
Key accessories included silver collar chokers and platinum sandals.

Front Row: Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta Jones, Anjelica Huston, Debra Messing, Bette Midler and Angie Harmon
Favourites: Cashmere jumpsuit paired with a wool coat and nude bodysuit, flannel pants and jacket
Who I See Wearing This Collection: Kate Hudson, Debra Messing, Catherine Zeta Jones, Paz Vega, Penelope Cruz, Angie Harmon, Mary J Blige, Tilda Swinton, Diane Lane and Jane Fonda

Before the show I was sent the new flip slide camera which is branded Michael Kors. That wasn’t the only gift because at the show we all received a pair of Michael Kors sunglasses.

Gorgeous. You are so lucky to have recieved such lovely gifts, which I am certain you already know. New York is really sounding like a fairytale, so I hope it actually is! How much is Debra Messing the perfect image of uptown Manhattan chic?
Michael Kors is my favorite fashion designer. Number one on my list. Waaaaay before Project Runway. I own clothes, handbags, shoes, sunglasses…
I really love this collection. I find his take on classic, American clothing far more interesting than Ralph Lauren.
Beautiful!
