Still On The Right Track Award
Alexa Chung walked the red carpet at the 2011 Elle Style Awards which was held in London last night.
She opted for a YSL Spring 2011 ensemble.
The look included a short sleeved blouse paired with a ruffled skirt. Both pieces had the YSL distinctive black fingerprint motif.
Black suede YSL heels and a black clutch completed her look.
This is a good look for Alexa. She seems to be on a roll.
I’m sure she made the effort because she was the host of this event.

I don’t like this dress and I don’t think her styling improved it at all.

Me too – I don’t think I’ve ever before looked at Alexa Chung and thought ‘wow, she looks great’, but that was my reaction here. Good colour, unusual choice, and she’s even brushed her hair!
Good look for her. This is the I dunno, fifth time she has appeared to us looking together.

I think the whole ensemble loses its strong, sexy appeal on Alexa.
I can feel up or down on Alexa; but here, I’m definitely feeling 2 thumbs up – she looks demure and sexy sweet, love the color on her too.
She looks boring
the midriff bothers me so much. also the ywantastic shoes and bag are so boring.
She seems to get the style right.. and i know shes this huge fashion icon but i just dont get it. Shes just so boring for me. is her personality like on the shy side because she always seems the same. and her hair ruins it.
I’m surprised to say it, but I think she looks great! I like that she softened the runway styling by nixing the slicked-back bun and bold lip colour. It makes it much more relaxed and effortless.
I really wish she’d change her hairstyle though, that triangle of forehead kills me.
Why didn’t she wear the runway shoes? It would give the dress a more youthful feel. But she looks better than usual.
