Joint Best Dressed Award
Tilda Swinton was my second favourite on the red carpet at the 2011 BAFTA Awards in London tonight.
The British actress wore a Haider Ackermann black suit with cream satin lapels on her waistcoat.
Her black suit was is worn with great style and poise.
I don’t know many other stars who can get me drooling over a black suit on the red carpet, but Tilda does.

It has a strange peach bow at the back, I would have preferred it without. It ruined the sleekness of the look.
I agree. Had teh bow itself been mro esimple or less obtrusive to the beautiful simplicity of teh look I would have loved it. It was also a bit wierdly low

I don’t know about the peach bow on the back, but from the front Tilda is a winner for me – long and sleek, very ‘in command’!
From the front she is a winner, but the hem of th trousers seem a tad long.

When she walked onto the stage she blew me away although my husband thought she looked like a frog in a suit but when the camera panned onto the back it looked like she got her knickers stuck and not in a good way.

I LOVE this. When menswear is tailored just right and worn with simplicity and elegance, I LOVE it. This makes me think of Marlene Dietrich or Coco Chanel.
