So…the PR who told everyone that Keira Knightley was going to be the face of Tom Ford was incorrect.
What they should’ve said is that Keira hadn’t worn Tom Ford for 6 years.
Therefore it’s no surprise to see Keira wearing her first love – Chanel – to The Childrens Hour Press Night at The Penthouse in London’s Leicester Square last night.
She looked breath-taking wearing a black chiffon Chanel Fall 2009 Couture dress with an embellished embroidered neckline and back detail and a flowing chiffon train.
Keira can do no wrong in Chanel.
Even the black pumps – which work – don’t stop me loving this look.
No need for jewels with the embellishments. Effortless as always and born to wear Chanel
BDOTW contender?

*GASP* I picked that dress in one of my wish lists!! Not for her, though (I think for D-Krugs), but still, nice to see it getting some love!! She looks amazing as usual.
Yeah, sure, BDOTW!
It’s a gorgeous dress, but I really think I like the shorter version on the model better. Maybe it’s just the angle of the picture…
I agree – the length is awkward, but the dress is stunning and she otherwise looks great.
well that explains alot. i hadn’t heard anywhere else that she was going to be the face of tom ford and it didn’t quite make sense, and especially with what seemed to be such a long contract.
anyways, keira & chanel = awesome. she looks a little healthier than usual too.
BDOTW ABSOLUTE WINNER!!!
PURE ELEGANCE!
Well… The riddle has been solved! It makes sense and I’m happy Keira stays with Chanel.
Definitely BDOTW for me! <3
For me definitely BDOTW contender. She looks divine.
Yes, BDOTW contender; the back of the dress is beautiful but I don’t like very much the make up, most of all the eyeshadow.
She models the new Tom Ford collection in this month’s British Elle, which is probably where this false info came from. But even in the accompanying interview she raves about Chanel.
BDOTW
Yes, worthy of a BDOTW nomination. She’s always particularly beautiful in Chanel, and it’s a stunning dress. I’m glad she styled it so simply.
The dress is beautiful, but I much prefer the shorter version. I don´t think Keira looks good in it all… Not a fan of the pink eye make up either… And the black pumps only make it worse….
Agreed. It’s like she’s sucking the life out of the dress.
I totally agree. I think it is a depressing dress. Black pumps make it worse.
keira is MADE for the couture. and kiera remains the quintessential chanel girl. so this is beyond a match made in fashion heaven. the look on her face combined with the opulence of that back beading detail takes my breath away!!!
BDOTY
Agree with every single word! She’s divine…
BDOTW contender for sure. Simple elegance.
BDOTW contender! I also loved how she looked outside with the leater jacket: http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/8944/2vskrw2.jpg it’s a weird combo but I love it!
BDOTW for sure.She looks STUNNING.
So gorgeous!
This dress is fine. But I don’t find anything special about it. In fact I think it looks better on the model. Def not a BDOTWC for me,nothing special about it.
Love this look. Not everyone can wear this length but Keira can. Not everyone can wear this much black but Keira can. She just looks great. I don’t think it will be my BDOTW, but I still like it.
She looks good but I do prefer this on the model.
I love the embellished details but the proportions are off for me with this longer length……
The dress looks odd on her for some reason. Is it me, or should the front be shortened. It’s too long as it is unless she removes the train. As it is, it’s off.
