It looks like Leona Lewis has started a ‘blunt bangs mini trend’, as Rose Byrne arrived at the amfAR New York Gala to kick off Fall 2011 Fashion Week with a similar ‘do.
Rose was resplendent as she glided gown the red carpet wearing a Ralph Lauren Collection soft pink silk crepe haltered gown which she accessorized with Ralph Lauren Fine jewelry.
I love this new hairstyle with the pretty pink gown. It’s a very interesting contrast of edgy meets sweet.
A sleek updo would’ve been expected, so I appreciate that she tried something new.

LOVE this look! I always complain the Rose usually looks way older than she really is on the RC, but here she looks truly gorgeous and lively.
Not sure I love the bangs, but everything else is perfect.
Her face looks massive compared to the rest of her body. It might be the hair, it might be the pose, it might be how tiny the dress makes her look – either way, not a fan.

This is a bit like Sandra Bullock’s Golden Globes look in that a beautiful dress is ruined by pretty bad hair. Rose’s hair doesn’t completely ruin the look, but the look could’ve been so much better if the hair was better. I love that dress.

Lovely! I think the big bangs work on her because of her hair length – not too long but not really short so it doesn’t turn into a bowl cut. Sandra Bullock’s hair is too long, so it looked like a wig at the Globes. Rose looked sweet and elegant. She’s a good actress and was great in a small movie, Adam (also starring with the wonderful Hugh Dancy).
I didn’t even recognize Rose at first. I love this hairstyle, but wish it wasn’t quite so heavy around her face. She looks wonderful in the dress, but what is that line at the base of her throat? Is it a shadow, or is she missing some tan?
