My girl Blake Lively looked stunning at the amfAR New York Gala to kick off Fall 2011 Fashion Week event which was held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City last night.
She opted for a beautiful Alexander McQueen strapless folklore print bustier dress from the Spring 2011 collection.
The look was worn with the same double buckle belt the model wore plus she added Lorraine Schwartz jewels.
For once the look isn’t tight and short to prove that she isn’t a one trick pony.

AWESOME! I’m so happy she’s wearing one of my fav designer!
it’s a shame it fit so weirdly in the chest here — she’s so pretty in this
I wouldn’t say not too tight. The twins are probably hurting.
it looks ill-fitting to me at the top area
The chest area also kills it for me. It makes it look instantly tacky, which is devastating given the caliber of the gown.
The top of the dress cheapens this look for me.
This is an ok look. The dress is beautiful and Blake finally brushed her hair. However, her breasts looks squished together and up. It looks unnatural. Also, she looks washed out. The dress is wearing her and I can’t “see” her. Maybe a lip color would have helped.
I agree. I don’t like Blake Lively in Alexander McQueen. I don’ think it work.
Yeah. Often times I love what she wears, but this just falls flat.
She looks beautiful. Shame about the hair though. I wish she had done something else with it.
Yes – totally agree.
She looks stunning
the belt is too high… maybe better in the waist… anyway she looks stunning as always!
Agreed, that’s what’s making her pop out so much on top (and making it ill fitted). It’s like a corset.
She looks amazing. Alexander McQueen is my favorite and I think Blake pulls this off well.
Hello, boobies! Her and Katy Perry need to have boobs-off contest, lol
Nevertheless, stunning dress
She’s spilling out, which is one of the things I hate the most.
Looks like she’s wearing the carpet
A great look but did that dress apear on the runway??
Blake looks stunning!
It wasn’t on the runway, it only appeared in the lookbook.
Boobs or legs. She CANNOT cover both of them.
It’s ill-fitting over her chest and the print does nothing for her. The only thing I like is the jewelry.
Does she ever wear her hair in a style that is not this or a ponytail?
There was the hideous rat’s tail braid that she wore w/ the famous red Versace…
Ditto.
Tits McGhee.
She looks gorgeous, I love the hair and the print of the dress, but her boobs look like they’re going to hit her chin.
Well, one of her tricks is to show her chest, if not her chest then her legs. Or go for the trifecta, chest, legs AND tight.
The boob thing really ruins the look. It takes it from a stunning McQueen to a maxi dress found in stores across L.A. I think it’s Blake’s placement of the belt that ruins the look.
I have been staring at this for ages tryign desperately to love it – it had so muc hpotential. My issues are that I prefered teh slightly lower waist and the fit is too tight on teh chest. Ijust feel that once again she is trying to draw attention to her boobs. I am not a huge fan of teh hair, but I think she does look beautiful, I just thin, at least from this look, blake and mcqueen are nto a match made it heaven. I really like the effort though.
I love the dress. Unfortunately, Blake Lively is wearing it.
Ill-fitting. Her girls are so up, locked, and loaded that they are practically sitting under her chin.
Tacky, tacky, tacky. I am certain that if she had a fitting before the event that the McQueen crew would have gladly altered it.
Blake has ability to cheap some of the nice dresses. The way she wears it and the way she poses just cheap whole look.
The top of the dress obviously does not fit her “best in the industry” boobs, the belt just makes it worse.
And the location even makes it much more worse, she looks like wearing the carpet, not Alexander McQueen.
You took the word right out of my mouth.
This is why I never get her ‘it girl’ status. She does have unquestionable quality to make high-end clothes looking cheap. I don’t know how and why.
I swear the first thing comes to my mind see her wearing this is Zara’s maxi.
A sexy attitude and McQueen never work well together – cf Salma Hayek. These are gorgeous pieces of wearable art for tall, small-busted women. I think this is exactly the opposite of how this gown should be worn.
