Jennifer Lawrence In Chloe – Academy Awards Nominations Luncheon

Jennifer Lawrence has impressed me the most this year on the red carpet.

The ‘Winter’s Bone’ actress has come out of nowhere, yet she hits the red carpet wearing amazing looks like a veteran.

She attended the 83rd Academy Awards nominations luncheon at Beverly Hilton Hotel in California this afternoon with established actresses like Nicole Kidman and Michelle Williams.

The young newcomer looked divine wearing a Chloe Spring 2011 dress.

Her dress is stunning on the runway, but vastly improved with the simple addition of the black waistband which gives the look a better silhouette.

She kept her look young by adding a pair of black strappy Roger Vivier sandals with a cute dragon flies.

I hope Jennifer’s career goes from strength to strength, so we can see more of her on the red carpet.

So pretty and fresh! I really like the way she styled this look, and think she’s got it going on fashion-wise. She seems to know what will look good on her, and she’s got versatility in her tool kit. Does she use a stylist?

I like it better with the belt – a great addition that goes well with the shoes. But above of all, I love those shoes, I want those shoes!

I love it with the black belt. She looks cute and appropriate for the event. The shoes are so adorable.

I love black and white combinations, but not this one.

I love the belt and shoes, which really lift an already lovely dress.

I love the fact she added the belt. I like this whole look.

So much better with black belt

I love, very chic and event appropriate. I like the black accessories, I think they add a much needed something to the look. Jennifer has definately been my award season favourite so far!

The accessories are too matchy, for me. The belt, the little bag and the shoes, too much. The shoes are beautiful, she could choose a different color for the bag and the look would have been perfect.

Jennifer is my favorite at this event, especially those wonderful shoes, they bring a bit of serendipitous magic to the whole ensemble….

    Beautiful dress! She looks lovely!

I don’t mind the belt, but the shoes are bothersome to me. I feel like she owns 20 versions of a thick black strappy heel. Even the dragon flies don’t make me like it. A nice pop of color in the shoes would’ve really made me take notice. This is nice, but not fab or anything.

agree about the shoes, she looks sweet until you she her feet! so annoying!!!

I agree with you. She’s been the best dressed this award season. Her Golden Globes look should have got more attention. it was amazing.

And this look is so classy and cute. There is nothing like a white and black combination in an outfit.

Sorry I haven’t commented in a while, I have been ill and had to prioritise health unfortunately. I adore this dress, and the gorgeous shoes which are Roger Vivier, Livia Firth talks about them on her blog. She has been my favourite this awards season aside from Hailee Steinfeld.

Thankyou, I am getting much better and hopefully shouldn’t catch it again. I have been reading your blog as always religiously, which has made bed rest a lot better so thankyou for that too. You are very welcome for the id. x

This is perfect. I don’t like the black accessories, but the dragonfly detail on her shoes are cute. I love how her stylist made the bodice tighter so she doesn’t look too much like she is going to church!.

I agree she has become the one to watch on the red carpet.

I love it–although I like it better without the belt.

I think it looks better and less boring with a black belt. Having a white and black color combination always makes a look sophisticated. Take a lesson from Coco Chanel.

Very pretty and event appropriate. Bravo.
