Yesterday evening I was transported to Marrakesh courtesy of River Island.

The press day showcased their Summer 2011 Moroccan inspired collection which included maxi dresses, palazzo pants, kaftans, embellished sandals, heart-shaped sunglasses, bags and other accessories including earrings, necklaces and bracelets.

The colours, tones, prints and fabrics were amazing just like you’d expect to see at the souks in Morocco.

This spicy collection would look great at summer bbq, on vacation or summer festivals.

After viewing this collections and drinking the delicious cocktails on offer I immediately wanted to book a vacation.

At the press day we were treated to a live look book photoshoot.

The models were undeterred as we watched them strike several poses for the photographer.

The live images were projected on a huge screen and on iPads for live selection of our favourite pictures.
