Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: February 2011

Many actresses opted for red looks on the red carpet at the 2011 Oscars.

Presenter Sandra Bullock, first timer Jennifer Lawrence and host Anne Hathaway are just a few who opted for this bold colour.

Each opted to let the dress to the talking by opting for minimal accessories.

If you are in the mood for going glam, theOutnet.com are celebrating Awards Season by taking 70% off selected red carpet worthy looks for their Awards Season Glamour page.

Choose between the Vionnet, Marchesa and Valentino red looks above, or selection Jimmy Choo heels, floaty Alberta Ferretti gowns and Alexander McQueen clutches to create your own red carpet worthy look.

I was quite impressed by Lea Michele at the 2011 Vanity Fair Oscar Party in West Hollywood, California last night.

She seems to have considerably toned down her ‘try hard/over eagerness’ from the 2011 Grammys.

On this occasion she let her Roberto Cavalli dress do the talking.

The electric blue long sleeved 70s inspired sequined dress with an open back matched her blue nail polish.

I love the slicked back hair which doesn’t distract us from her dress.

She was one of my favourites from the Vanity Fair party.

Florence Welch wore yet another Valentino Couture gown at Elton John’s AIDS Foundation’s Oscar Viewing Party, after wearing a Valentino Couture gown on the red carpet at the 2011 Oscars.

Her black long sleeve Valentino Spring 2011 Couture gown with white and blush flower appliqué was paired with Valentino pumps with gold beading.

I much prefer this red carpet look as it feels different to what we’ve seen from Florence before.

The romantic, light and airy nature of this look fits her style perfectly.

I wasn’t crazy about Zoe Saldana’s look at the 2011 Independent Spirit Awards, but I loved her look at the 2011 Vanity Fair Oscar Party in West Hollywood, California last night.

She struck gold again wearing a Prabal Gurung Spring 2011 dress.

This is a first look of this collection to hit the red carpet, which is apt since she introduced the designer to the world.

Her two tone pink draped crinkle chiffon dress with handkerchief hem was paired with a lust-worthy Louis Vuitton tasseled minaudière and metallic pink Ferragamo sandals.

Here we have a lot of layers, colours and detail in this look, but Zoe totally pulls it off.

Cartier jewels completed her look.

Cameron Diaz showed off those enviable legs on the red carpet at the 2011 Vanity Fair Oscar Party in West Hollywood, California last night.

She opted to wear at Carolina Herrera Pre-Fall 2011 dress.

The abstract leopard print lame one shoulder cocktail dress was shortened from the runway.

Anita Ko earrings, Jimmy Choo ‘Glint’ black open-toe booties, a Judith Leiber black clutch and a Lanvin gold cuff completed her look.

As much as I love fact that she’s showing off her best assets the dress appears to be tight around her thighs.

Gwyneth Paltrow changed from her Calvin Klein dress to a Michael Kors dress at the 2011 Vanity Fair Oscar Party last night.

Her Michael Kors Fall 2011 one shoulder suntan jersey gown was decorated with crystal embroidery.

A gold Jimmy Choo “Cosma” clutch, Christian Louboutin Pigalle Plato glitter pumps and a spectacular pair of 20 carat Forevermark Cushion Cut Diamond Stud Earrings by Diarough completed her look.

I whilst I prefer this over the Calvin Klein dress, this dress was more appropriate for this party. It may have been too causal for the Oscars.
