Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: January 2011

Damn this woman is on one hot streak.

Diane Kruger has had an amazing week on the red carpet.

Each look has been different, exciting and fun to observe.

The German actress attended the Giambattista Valli Paris boutique opening party this week.

She was of course wearing a Giambattista Valli dress from Spring 2011 collection, opting for a cocoon shape silk dress with patchworks of orange, silver and animal print fabrics.

The look had a futuristic feel on the runway, but Diane injects a chic Parisian feel to this look teaming her dress with a navy satin clutch.

I hope she was wearing the runway shoes.

Update: Found a full-length picture. She’s not wearing the runway heels, but they look great with her dress.

We don’t see enough of Juan Carlos Obando on the red carpet, so I was happy to see Rose McGowan wearing a look from the designers Spring 2011 collection.

The actress wore the dress when she arrived at ‘A Night Of Red Carpet Style’ hosted by People StyleWatch at Decades in LA last night.

I love bright colour, the plunging neckline and flared skirt. Her hair and make-up are also flawless.

Rose is really having fun with fashion at the moment. I’ve loved all her recent choices.

Many of you didn’t like Olivia Wilde’s gold spiked Christian Louboutin ankle boots which she wore to the Golden Globe Awards, but I’m sure you’ll agree that Rose’s silver version work perfectly with her dress.

Many socialites and French actress attended Sidaction Gala Dinner in Paris last night to close Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week.

Austrian stylist Caroline Sieber opted to pick two pieces from the Louis Vuitton Spring 2011 collection to create this uber chic two tone lace look.

She casually a silver cuff and LV black strappy sandals to her look.

French actress Cécile Cassel wore a floral Louis Vuitton Spring 2011 plunging dress to this event.

I love the added pop of colours from her colour-block LV clutch.

Poppy Delevigne also opted for a burst of colour wearing a striped aqua and navy blue LV Spring 2011 dress with a plunging neckline and thigh-high split.

Her floral LV clutch was the perfection addition to this sexy look. Her jewels were by De Beers.

Lauren Santo Domingo wore the same LV Spring 2011 fringed ombre dress which Leighton Meester recently wore.

I’m not that excited seeing this dress for the second time on the red carpet. For some reason the dress feels like it’s hanging awkwardly on Lauren.

Zuhair Murad’s Spring 2011 Couture was a delightfully opulent collection of stunning evening wear.

The collection started off with models looking like goddesses as they glided down the runway in white gowns accented with gold embroidered details.

We also saw beautifully embroidered black gowns, waves of ocean blue, aqua, gold, lemon and mint green.

The one dress which stood out the most was a stunning animal print chiffon gown which I can see Paris Hilton wearing on the red carpet.

The Lebanese designer gave us a mixture of sophisticated gowns, embellished gowns, cocktail dresses and attention seeking gowns which will turn heads and drop jaws.

Favourites: Electric blue gown and white embroidered dress with the train falling from the shoulders.

Who I See Wearing This Collection: Megan Fox, Beyonce, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Paris Hilton, Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera and Fergie

A diva like Jennifer Lopez was made to rock Gucci.

The American Idol judge added a gold belt to her Gucci Spring 2011 jumpsuit to the launch of Gucci Children’s Collection in Beverly Hills late last year.

She put plenty of diva attitude into this black jumpsuit with gold embroidery.

The look was paired with black and gold platform sandals from the runway, but she added different gold bracelets and hooped earrings.

Charlotte Casiraghi wore the same jumpsuit to the Gucci Rue Royale Reopening Party in Paris this week.

The daughter of Princes Caroline of Monaco also added the same runway heels, but she didn’t add any life into this look.

The only thing I like about Charlotte’s look is that she wore her hair back to show off the detailed neckline.

Jennifer wins for me.

After taking to the red carpet at the InStyle Best of British Talent BAFTA party in London this week, Heidi Klum headed to Stuttgart, Germany for a promotional appearance in as the face of the cosmetics brand Astor.

The Project Runway host opted to wear a coral Amanda Wakeley Spring 2011 jumpsuit.

Her jumpsuit with draped hips was paired with the runway belt and brown Christian Louboutin ‘Altadama’ watersnake peep-toes.

Whilst I love the look on the runway, for some reason I feel like there is too much fabric overwhelming Heidi. Especially around the bottom part of her jumpsuit.

When looking at this jumpsuit on Heidi the first thing that popped into my mind what, “Stop…Hammer time.”

The following day at another Astor promotional event at the Empire Riverside hotel in Hamburg, Germany Heidi opted for a more sophisticated look wearing a Rachel Roy sleek structured dress.

The host looked more polished wearing this long sleeve teal blue dress with an asymmetrical hemline.

Christian Louboutin ‘Balota’ sandals were paired with this look.

I prefer the Rachel Roy look. Which do you prefer?
