Best Use Of Print Award
Thankfully I saw this look on E!, because this picture isn’t doing it justice.
Claire Danes attended 2011 SAG Awards last night wearing Louis Vuitton.
The actress normally sticks to a roster of usual suspects when it comes to designers – Zac Posen, Narciso Rodriguez and Calvin Klein – so it was good to see her opting for someone else.
Her Louis Vuitton silk printed gown was embroidered with silk flowers and black pearls.
Claire kept her hair down added hot pink lips, a black velvet belt and Fred Leighton jewels to her beautiful look.

She looks amazing. Love this on her. Her hair and makeup also look great and she looks so comfortable. Love the contrast of girly dress and serious (for lack of a better word) belt.
Annnnnd the dress colour matches her eyes beautifully!!!
Finally a look I actually like on her! She looks great here. I love the hot pink nail polish and lipps. But I wish she had pulled her hair back in some loose bun or ponytail…

HATE the long tail on the belt, but otherwise, a fresh new look for Claire that she totally works on the red carpet. Is it me, or is this such a Kyra Sedgwick dress??
Like the print, but the belt and the red lips and nails aren’t my fave. Made it a bit OTT to me.
I like this look on Claire. She usually is boring but this is sweet. I feel like she is missing a subtle necklace though. It’s like she put on the gown and walked out the door.
Lovely look–the right necklace would have been an enhancement, but the worng one would have competed with theprint too much. BTW, FC, love everythin in your favorites right now, especially the McQueen pencil dress!

This did look a lot better on TV – she was one of my best dressed.
It’s very pretty and I like her makeup, but I feel like this look is too casual, somehow – I think it’s the combination of the loose blown-out hair, print, long tail on the square-buckle belt and low-key accessories.
Of course, that could just be because it’s high summer here in Aus and I see print maxi-dresses everywhere I look.
I like the dress, but I don’t like the belt. It looks like something that I would wear with a pair of jeans.
