I attended the very intimate presentation of the Valentino Spring 2011 Couture collection at the Hotel Salomon de Rothschild in Paris yesterday. It was the perfect romantic setting.
Valentino never disappoints because elegance, femininity and beauty is in its DNA.
Beautiful delicate butterflies and floral appliqués adorned this collection of mostly floor-length dresses.
Every piece moved with a wave-like fluidity which was both sophiscated and sensual giving us a beautifully haunted atmosphere.
With the music softly playing the background, you could actually hear the tiered ruffles flutter delicately as the models walked the gold runway.
The colour palette was neutral with tones of stone, pale pink, beige, lilac plus aqua and classic Valentino red and aqua.
Front Row: Shala Monroque, Dasha Zukova, Bianca Brandolini d’Adda, Caroline Sieber and Delfina Fendi
Favourites: Black sheer dress with white floral appliqués and light pink tiered ruffled dress with sequin embellishments.
Who I See Wearing This Collection: Elle Fanning, Eva Mendes, Camilla Belle, Ginnifer Goodwin, Jessica Alba, Keira Knightley, Kirsten Dunst, Leighton Meester, Cate Blanchett and Sarah Jessica Parker

I love the whole collection.
I haven’t felt that way since Valentino left
the black sheer dress is gorge
I have hated every collection since Valentino retired a mess!
I’m getting really tired of seeing nude dresses. The red gown is beautiful. Hope to see it on the red carpet.
Valentino’s collection is the one i always want to check after E.Saab because they understand feminity… love it!
I usually love Valentino, but I’m not feeling this collection at all. The black sheer dress with white floral appliqués is beautiful though.
oh how i miss the orange man himself, valentino couture hasnt been the same. nothing will beat the fall 2007 couture collection in my opinion. the only thing i liked was the shoes from this collection.
This is a beautiful collection of course, but it all feels so samey.
