Thandie Newton has yet to fail me on the red carpet.
This woman has perfection oozing from every pore.
She attended the InStyle Best of British Talent BAFTA party at Shoreditch House in London last night looking sensational wearing a Jonathan Saunders Spring 2011 mini dress.
Thandie removed the thin black leather belt from her sky blue and grey dress, which I think makes the look a lot more appealing.
The dress was paired with a black clutch and white shoes, which are usually an instant fail in my eyes, but Thandie makes them work.
The British actress has long been a fan of Jonathan Saunders and British designers in general, so I applaud her for her continual support of these designers on the red carpet.
BDOTW??

she looks beautiful as always… but i don’t think best dressed of week contender… but depends on the rest of the week
I agree. Her accessories wouldn’t work on anyone else.
BDOTW for sure, I love this look, so refreshing.
definitely bdotw, she looks much better than the model and her shoes are amazing
Lovin this look. I love this color scheme with the white shoes, similar to Jennifer Lawrence in Prabal Gurung
The overal look is really good, but the shoes ruins everything for me. They are way too… white, lie someone turned on a black light or something. No one can make these work, not even Thandie…
I like the look, but I feel she’s ruining it by wearing it at least two months too early. I get a spring/summer vibe from her and it’s only January with freezing degrees outside! (at least where I am, and in London I would think)
The shoes are a tad too white, grey would have worked better IMO.
Thandie hardly goes wrong. Great look.
BDOTW for sure!!
I love her style!
Ugh. Why so beautiful? ;D BDOTW for sure. She’s one of the few that doesn’t need a fancy gown in order to make it onto the list.
I like it but I’m not excited about it at all.
Agree….for me not BDOTW contender..
BDOTW, obvi!
Oh… I’m a sucker for Jonathan Saunders. BDOTW for me
cute dress
shoes too white. perhaps a different makeup? x
Yep loved everything but the shoes; they were just too white.
BDOTW even though the shoes aren’t that great
BDOTW for sure! Thandie is just perfection every time. She pulls off difficult looks with effortless grace.
It’s hard to tell in this pic but the shoes are actually white with a black platform and black heel so they tie in really well with the dress without being matchy. BDOTW for sure.
Well I personally hate this look. It is better suited for frolicing on the beach than a ‘red carpet’ event. Not to mention she is far too old for it. I don’t care how thin you are when you wear a dress made for a twentysomething you automatically age yourself.
Definitely not BDOTW-worthy. She looks pretty, but totally underwhelming, IMO. But her legs look amazing.
I think she is a BDOTWC in this for sure, and thanks to Lisa for explaining the shoes!
I agree, with BlackSwan, my first thought was “beach cover up with a belt.”
I have beenitching to see a red carpet jonathan saunders look. I adore simplicity and clean, fresh clothes, which he definitely provided in his ss 2011 collection. I still remember when thandie wore that goreous pleated saunders colour block dress in black yellow red and beige about a million years ago. Winning combo!
I love the dress on her, the color makes her skin look so good! And its the right minimalist for Thandie, but I think the shoes doesn’t go. My eyes attract to those horrible white shoes.
BDOTW worthy! The dress could’ve been rather plain and casual if worn by an airhead, but Thandie made it work. She looked beautiful and refreshing.
I really like this dress on her and glad that she got rid of the thin belt. It wasn’t needed. For once I actually like the dress and the person wearing it.
Where can I buy this for my wife? I’m in Atlanta.
