Whilst her fellow actors were enjoying a night of celebrating TV and Film, Gwyneth Paltrow was in Geneva, Switzerland.
She attended the Baume & Mercier Gala Evening for 21st SIHH High Jewellry Fair where she was named as the newest ambassador of Baume and Mercier.
Gywnie wore an Azzedine Alaia ribbed pink ruffled dress.
For those of you who have gown fatigue from the Golden Globes, this will come as light refreshment.
Her spring twenties inspired dress was paired with some hot pink Pierre Hardy peep-toes and a Baume & Mercier watch.
She opted for smoky eyes and styled her hair with loose waves.

I like it…a lot.
Your coverage of the events from the last few days has been (and I’m sure will continue to be) absoloutley amazing! I came home from a little break and had over 70 new posts from you in my reader which made me very, very happy…I’ve been sitting in front of my computer for hours devouring them! Love your work x
Many thanks…over 70? Wow…I just go into a zone.
Glad you are enjoying my work x
ditto–you do a great job
merci xxx
I love the styling with the shoes and bracelets byt most Alaia’s dresses are for women with defined waists. Gwyneth looks kinda boxy here
From the shoulder down its alright I guess. Did she do something to her face cos its been looking off ever since the country strong promo
Yes, so off topic I know, but I think she has had something done to her face. It really distracts me from her look actually. Too much Botox or some eye tightening thing? I wish women wouldn’t do this, they just look worse.
Btw in a perfect world this dress would be hanging in my wardrobe.
same here I love the dress and colour; maybe a little too “sweet” for me but its a new year so maybe time to try something new lol
She’s too old to be dressing like a Barbie. Dont get me wrong, I like it, I would wear it, but it might not be age appropriate. Great shoes tho
I hate the makeup, it’s so off. the dress is lovely though. very much reminds me of the Aliaa dress bar refaeli wore here:
http://justjared.buzznet.com/photo-gallery/2449647/bar-refaeli-lexus-party-04/
I don’t call that hair “styled”. It is messy.
I never get tired of Award Season coverage. You did a great job, and deserve a rest. I hope you get it!
Anyway, I think that Gwyneth is too old to wear this dress. Is she old? Absolutely not, but this is just not age appropriate. When I saw this all I could think was Elle Fanning would look really cute in this.
thank you. I had a great sleep x
Eyes look terrible & the she don’t look comfortable in the dress. Lovely dress, but not on her!…loving the hot pink shoes!
It is the cutest Alaia I have ever seen.
I like the dress, I like the shoes but not together. As to her hair, it doesn’t bother me, i actually like it.
I love it on her. She’s one those few 30 something who can pull off cutesy dresses.
Not sure about the makeup tho
i dont like this at all, perhaps its the make up she doesnt look fresh ata ll
The woman never disappoints me! Can’t wait to see her B&M campaign ads!
ditto!
gwyneth is a diva
Gwyneth has no defined waist and does not do justice to an Alaia dress that is designed to kick out from the waist down. Nice dress…pity not on her!
I agree with the other commenters who’ve noted that Gwyneth is too old and too boxy for this dress. It’s an okay dress, if a little twee, but it’s not the best choice for Gwyneth.
And while I like the ‘goes with’ rather than ‘matches’ approach to accessories as much as anyone, I’m not sure that these shoes do either.
too cutesy for her.
Who would have thought these Alaia dresses would become so popular? They are the new Herve Leger but prettier
.
These dresses have always been popular amongst the fashion insiders I think more so than Leger -they are also 3 times the price. Michelle Obama wore a black Alaia last year and looked amazing. Unfortunately Gwyneth looks like a box. This is because she pulled the dress bodice down to give her more length . By doing that she ruined a stunning dress. He does a longer version which would have worked so much better. Her hair looks awful.
I would like to see this dress worn by Elle Fanning, Selena Gomez, young people, anyway. This is a very girly dress, Olivia Palermo would be lovely in this frock. I agree about her botox face.
don’t like, too girly, too cutesy, and the hot pink shoes just clash
At first glance I thought she was Fergie from the Black eyed peas. Love the hot pink shoes but agree the dress does not work for Gwyneth – too pale, boxy – it’s an ok dress that just does not hang right on Gwyneth..
