Most Romantic/Most Unpredictable Award
Whilst most stars were looking for the puffiest dress with the most sequins for the 2011 Golden Globe Awards, Leighton Meester went for the total opposite.
The “Gossip Girl” actress who was presenting on the night opted for a Burberry Prorsum Pre-Fall 2011 dress.
She quietly walked the red carpet in her nude print Burberry Prorsum ruched crescent dress.
I loved her accessories which included a Louis Vuitton minaudiere clutch and Jimmy Choo ‘Zafira’ platform sandals which provided a touch of sparkle to her look along with her Cathy Waterman jewels.
As others go left, Leighton goes right. In this case so right.
I adore this look.

I’m sorry this is just not doing it for me. It looks like a bad period piece. The print was nice, but I don’t like the sleeves and the leg slit. This just isn’t right to me, and I’ve seen Leighton look better. (See: Art of Elysium Gala last night)
She is my favorite at this event. She didn’t even seem to be trying too hard like some of the other celebrities at the Golden Globes.
So, so beautiful. She really stood out – not only for looking incredibly gorgeous but also for not looking like anybody else.

I refuse to look at a photo of otehrs fromteh night, IE Jennifer Lawrence, ScarJo, or any other beauties of the night, because at this moment, having no memory of almos tany previous looks, Leighton is my favourite. I cant fault it,it is so unexpected in every way. Firstly she is gorgeous, fantastic ahri and makeup. so no surprise there, but everythign else, the hoop earrings not lookign trashy and being paried with this dress, similarly the heels and bag being paried with this dress les alone together. The dress itself. OH, how I do adore Leighton meester.

I never expected a Little House on the Prairie look from her. As you can tell, I don’t think it looks nice, but if she had put her hair in braids or a bun, she could have looked a lot like Laura Ingalls.
Omg, Little House on the (expensive) Prairie was the first thing that came to my mind as well, lol. Disappointing.
My best dressed of the night. I’m biased and Idgaf lol. Leighton went safe but my kind of safe.
Oh what a stunner! She looks terrific. Glad she decided to go this way. Her super tiny frame would not survive the typical puffy dress they tend to wear to the Globes.
I also love her makeup. It’s just flawless.

She looked so lovely as a presenter, she really is beautiful and she’s wearing the kind of outfits that highlight that, I loved everything she has worn recently – EVERYTHING!
YES! I was waiting for this look, it is just very poised and elegant yet youthful. The pics do not do it justice AT ALL on screen she looked heavenly and her shoes are perfect. High enough to help make the dress look good but not too heavy for the light magerial of the gown.
She has an excellent stylist.
leighton was my favourite of the night. unusual and interesting, i almost wish she did wear a belt of some kind, but not the thick black (?) one the model has on.

I absolutely adore this! definately on of favourite looks of the night. Leighton looks so graceful and beautiful and lots of other synonyms. Sigh.
As soon as I saw Leighton on the Red Carpet, I knew she was wearing Burberry Prorsum. I had this kinda look set aside for someone with a more boho vibe, like Nicole Richie, but I think she does it complete justice. I’m glad that she didn’t wear the belt. Easily one of my favorites.
I wish she’d pushed up her sleeves like the runway model did. With the sleeves down the dress reeks a bit of blingtastic Regency/Jane Austen.

I agree. This time last year she would have worn a ‘edgy’ dress which would have looked ridiculous but she looks so delicate and simple and it worked wonders for her. A fantastic look

This isn’t something I thought anyone would wear on the red carpet but I’d like to give kudos to Leighton for always bringing something new to the table. Others were wearing puffy dresses, one shoulder gowns, strapless, same-old same old gowns, she goes the opposite. Although I would have loved it even better if her gown had short sleeves similar to the photo/models.
One of my favorites of the night. She has such great style. Love how this time around she chose something soft and feminine and so minimalist. Love Love Love!
