No Surprises/Pretty In Pink Award
No one will be surprised to see Lea Michele wearing Oscar de la Renta at the 2011 Golden Globe Awards as he seems to be her go-to designer for the big occasions.
She wore an Oscar de la Renta Spring 2011 salmon silk faille one shoulder gown with cascading ruffle detail.
The colour is divine on her.
She really knows how to work a big gown for such a petite girl.
My only gripe was the hair. I would’ve preferred something more sleek and smoothed out.

I don’t understand why she always opts for this really big dresses. She’s working it, but I still think it’s too big for her :/
For some reason, the hair and dress combo reminded me of Sandra Bullock. I loved the color on her. The ruffles are a lot, but she’s pulling it off.
I feel like I should be more blown away by this, but for me it lacks that factor.

She looks really pretty here. I actually like the hair. It’s age-appropriate.
The color looks gorgeous against her skin. BUT the cascading ruffles down the side looks overbearing on her thin frame, the dress is more for a curvaceous body.
It is a lovely dress on her, but I could imagine this lookign ten time sbetter on certain otehr people. I like the hair, but not with the dress, adn I dislike the absence of more jewellery. I am sure i will be in a minority, if not the only one, but I am not dying over this look. Especailyl after Jennfier nettles, who i have engrained in ym memory now. However, I am curious, as if lea is wearing such a big look for the first awards, despite this beign the biggest for her personally, what can we expect if she attends the oscars?
In fact, having jsut seen photos of SCar Jo (die), Diana Agron (sigh), and JAnuary Jones (Pure mansluaghter she is so amazing), Lea is actually underwhelming. FC I really feel for you. This is better than I even anticipated. Especially January

She does deserve an award for pulling off such a big dress on such a small frame, but I don’t think this will be one of my favorites of the evening……(although to add, I do love the color on her)

I saw that dress on the red carpet and I said that Lea Michele would wear it to the Golden Globes. She looks amazing and I love her hair like this. Shes totally working it.

This dress is very unflattering. I really don’t like it. I’v never been a fan of ruffles. She doesn’t look cute in it.

I literally screamed when I saw this photo. While I love the colour on her skin I think there is far too much fabric on the other end. A good look but I think anyone would have struggled with it

For some reason alot of dresses that have ruffless/poofiness that celebs wear on the red carpet always look like a replca from China or something, they’re almost always losing their appeal. I woulda loved this look even more if the ruffles still had that looked like the runway version.

I can hardly believe this dress is faille. It looks like limp chiffon compared to the runway gown. The color is pretty, the style is nice, but nothing is exciting.
I swear, when I saw this on the runway I knew Lea would get her tiny but capable paws on this. She looks perfect. She wanted a little drama with the hair.= and her bling is appropriate.
lea and her stylist get a gold star from me for this look. the dress is stunning! it’s nice to see someone on the red carpet that “gets it”.
I really like this dress, but I don’t like it on Lea Michele. I don’t find that she has the attitude or personality to carry this off.

That was one of my favourite dresses of Spring 2011 and she has ruined it.
The ruffles are just totally deflated and this dress needs curves, like the gorgeous model.
