Jennifer Lopez didn’t do the ‘diva thing’ like would have expected.
Instead she looked angelic at the 2011 Golden Globe Awards wearing a Zuhair Murad Spring 2011 dress.
Her white silk chiffon sweetheart neckline draped front gown with crystal tulle capelet was teamed with a Swarovski silver crystal ‘Kiosque’ clutch.
I preferred how the dress looked on TV when she wasn’t pushing her Christian Louboutin ‘Marlena Strass’ peep-toes through the side split.
The only thing I didn’t like about this look is the eye make-up.

The makeup was indeed horrid, silvery white eyeshadow does not work with her complexion. This stark white doesn’t work with her skin tone either and her twins are moments away from spilling over. A hot mess IMO.
An afterthought: If she had removed or modified the sheer cape and had enough room for the girls then this would have been miles better.
With all the goodwill in the world, this is just awful!
I think this would look fabulous on Helen Mirren
You’re right, it would indeed.
Agreed. When I saw it, I thought it would be better for someone older.
Agree that the leg slit being that visible is a bit much. This dress is such a bigger statement without it. Still, a very nice departure for Jennifer.
Consider me not a fan. I don’t know what I would change but somehow this just doesn’t work for me at all. And I agree about the eye-makeup
I don’t like this look on her either, but I did think it was particularly funny when she pulled the slit apart with her hands to give the audience a good look at her legs when she was presenting an award.
That was such a turn off to me. She was so intent on showing some leg that it cheapened the whole outfit. Ugh!
Fail.
At 1st I was like why is she wearing a poncho but then I gre to like it. It does look so much better without the leg peeping out.
It’s a beautiful dress, just not for her imo.
This is not good.
i cant believe i am saying this but i love it, minus the make-up. i never get why woman seem to match their clothes/shoe colour to their make-up.
haha, at least she’s not pulling up her dress a-la- lively when she was wearing that dress with a slit at some awards. Love the white on her, though.
I like that she changed things up. And the dress and cape are positively ethereal. My adoration is diminished a bit by that make up though.
She look like a goddess, beautiful.
I’m apparently in the minority, but I do like this. I would’ve liked it better without the slit, but I like it anyway.
i love it too sharon. it was one of my favs for the night. her hair makeup and everything was flawless.
The straps of the dress make it look cheap. Strapless with the sparkly cape would look glam.
She looked stunning!!! Angelic is the best word to choose. She looks fantastic & only she could pull off a dress like this.
A ‘could have been great’ – as everyone says, without the slit and the eye makeup was awful. Also, Ethne has a good point, without the straps would have sealed the deal for the glamour quotient.
I don’t like the dress. So, for me, not even the diva that is Jennifer Lopez could have saved it.
Simple, beautiful dress.I think she really worked it out.I reallt don’t agree with the makeup and the hair. She looks very tired.
wrong hair and makeup, old look, feeling like ive seen this before , beautiful dress but going to a wedding???don’t like this at all.
The make-up is all kinds of wrong. The dress is nice but the make-up completely ruins it. What could have been great….
While everyone for the most part was predictable, I love that Jennifer went in the exact opposite direction of what we expect from her. I loved the eye make up too, on camera it lit up her face and was stunning. For me, this dress proves that Jennifer can pull off anything.
She def stood out from everyone. I loved her hair & make up also.
Beautiful except for the makeup and pout.
I actually liked the dress on her, very flattering for her curves and thought she looked lovely despite the frosty eye shadow. I was completely turned off by how she kept trying to work the slit and show some leg, even going so far as to walk across stage holding her dress open. Ugh.
She looks like a bride.
I don’t quite like it. The make-up is awful + I don’t like her hair this tight.
I agree she looked fab when she wasn’t sticking her leg out the slit, but you are right, someone needs to talk to her about the concealer.
this my girl she looks fab in what ever she where love u jenn..
She is so prettyyyy!!!
Hey you guys, I wanted to make a replica of this dress for my prom. Do you think it would be too matronly? Because I think it looks really elegant and white looks nice on me cus I am dark skinned.
