Helen Mirren In Badgley Mischka – 2011 Golden Globe Awards

I can’t believe I missed Helen Mirren the first time round.

The British actress looked sensational on the red carpet at the 2011 Golden Globe Awards last night.

She wore a lemon Badgley Mischka Spring 2011 strapless gown with an embroidered shrug.

A Salvatore Ferragamo clutch and Cartier jewels completed her look.

Grace and elegance personified.

I wish she didn’t add the necklace because it makes her looks like a rich Lady of an estate from 1910.
    1910 or 2011, I love this look!

That’s not just Cartier Jewels… This is a 1,6 million Cartier neckless.. It makes some difference! ;)

    I soooo admire her.

Awesome. I love that Helen refuses to play by the style code for women her age or else we wouldn’t get to see looks like this.

    She looks great.

This was one of the style highlights for me. There is a gorgeous photo of Helen Mirren and Tilda swinton together last night, and they both looked so chic and different to most of the other stars of last night. She always dresses beautifully, she really is grace personified!

    She looks f**king amazing!

  8. Vidhya January 17, 2011 at 18:25 #

yeah.. i think maybe the necklace was overkill.. is her hair shorter?

    • Naomi January 17, 2011 at 18:52 #

I actually like the necklace, I even think it’s necessary for the look. It adds a pop of color and some freshness to a very dim beige look.

Love the shorter hair and the dress. She knows how to show off her killer body. How brilliant is it to have those little ‘sleeves’ there to hide that part of the body most of us hate. She is a goddess.

From people u missed I also liked Alexa Chung in Valentino.
And Annette Benning in Tom Ford is worth mentioning though I didn’t like how she looked.

I always love Helen Mirren, she is fierce. And that necklace is just out of this world.

Freaking fantastic. Jane Fonda could and should learn a thing or two with her. Go, Helen, go!

This woman is 65 years old!! She has style, grace and great figure. I adore her.

Don’t dig the necklace. I’ve always hated those.

And when I saw Scarlett Johanson, I thought right away that Helen Mirren should have worn it. It was too mature/matronly for ScarJo but perfect for Helen, better than this one.

    Typo above: Meant to say

“when I saw Scarlett Johanson’s *dress*

This dress is not lemon colored as the article claims. It looks more like chamgpagne or a metallic goldish sheen shade. I loved it and couldn’t understand why she was left off the best dressed lists while Angelina was on them…no one wants to offend Angelina or she won’t come on their shows. One show stopped someone short when they dared to criticize her look. It’s sickening how they pick on the lesser known but not the biggest stars.

For me, Paris Hilton who hasn’t been shown, was one of the best dressed of all. I think she just went to the after parties in a gorgeous pink fairy tale dress…the best of all of them.

Classy as usual. She puts women more than half of her age to shame.

  24. Helen January 22, 2011 at 19:51 #

Ravishing!!…for me d best dressed. stay blessed name sake :)
