Stale, Boring and Predictable Award
At the 2011 Golden Globe Awards Halle Berry did look stunning wearing Nina Ricci Fall 2009 bustier dress.
As beautiful as she looks, the first thing I did when I saw her was roll my eyes.
That’s because this is nothing we haven’t seen a million times before on Halle.
Her style is so stale. I’m wishing she would shake things up a little bit.
Black, breast-baring dresses which show off her legs is a red carpet formula I’ve become so tired of.
This dress – as many of you pointed out – has been worn by Bee Shaffer.

I too was disappointed when I saw Halle. I’m not a fan of that dress. She is a very beautiful woman though.

Bee Shaffer wore the same gown (or similar) in navy to the last MET Gala.

That’s the thing. This is something we’ve seen a million times before from Halle, and I feel like we’ve seen her do this look better many times before. She’s nominated. You’d think she could pull out someting different and better than this. I was hoping for something more like the white Alberta Ferretti she wore a while ago.
She’s nominated but everyone knows it’s Natalie’s season. Perhaps she didnt even try. I’m sure Halle-the red carpet queen’s-people knew that someone else had worn this prior. Maybe she just said hey, it isint my season, this is the Globes, i’ll stick to formula, and we’ll focus on the Oscars.
I choose not to be dissapointed till after Feb 27th.

One thing I don’t understand is why people complain so much about Blake’s legs-and-boobs style when Halle does the pretty same thing – I even think Blake gives us more variety.
I don’t like this look. It seems like she took a short dress and added some layers just to make a longer dress for the GG red carpet.
I swear I rolled my eyes as well when i saw Halle, I’m so sick of seeing her in these black/bustier/leg bearing ensembles, she should really look into firing her stylist
I often prefer to skip making a comment on the looks I don’t like, but I can’t help saying here, oh my god, you are so right………beyond boring for me.
Well the first time I saw this I thought how tacky she looked. And I’m getting tired of her looks. It’s like, “Ok, we get it Halle, you have an awesome body and love to show it off but enough already. Mix it up and wear something different.”

I don’t think any of the big designers were sending her any dresses this year. Or at least from the designers she wanted.
Or maybe and I think this is more likely but I get the feeeling she wore this because she wanted attention as she’s not nominated for anything.
halle was nominated for best actress. yes i didnt know that either until yesterday. this look is so beyond boring and i was shocked that she rolled down the red carpet in a 2003 dress hair and heels. did she go to the back of the closet this year? she is a beautiful doll and i want to find her a better dress.

That dress looks amazing on the model very chic and fashion on Halle it looks a bit overly sexual. She is a beeautiful, sensational looking woman but this dress is ridiculous on her and those bracelets are tacky. She’s being attention seeking since she’s not nominated for anything.

I see a woman who wants to show how hot she is…nothing else. I find hard to believe this is a Nina Ricci’s dress. I don’t like the sandals, too simple; honestly I like the dress but it’s a bit tacky on her. I also dislike the two big bracelets.
I really want to like something about her look,but i can’t.She has to begin to war more stylish dresses.

hated this, felt that it cheapens her. She looks like she’s wearing underwear on the red carpet. Makes her look desperate instead of radiant. She is a beautiful woman, a goddess at any age, but wish she didn’t feel the need to try so hard.
say what you want but Bea Shaffer did not or could not wear it like Halle. This was totally appropriate for the Globes bcause it is a low-key, casual event, as evidenced by the some of the men’s casual tuxedos. I even think some of the women were overdressed for the occasion. The Oscars, it ain’t so leave Halle alone because we all know that she could have walked in wearing the ugliest dress in town and looked good…ask your men, ladies.
I thought she looked HOT! One of my best dressed for sure. The dress is kind of plain, but Halle knows how to work it.
