Green was one of the surprising trend colours on the red carpet at the 2011 Golden Globe Awards.
Catherine Zeta-Jones walked the red carpet with husband Michael Douglas wearing a dramatic Monique Lhuiller Pre-Fall 2011 gown.
Her look was complemented with some dazzling Van Cleef & Arpels jewels and Ferragamo heels.
The gown may look like freshly cut grass in this picture, but it worked beautifully on TV.

I LOVE this. This might just be my best dressed of the night – she pulls this off so elegantly yet effortlessly.
Lovely!!!
She is always such a pleasure onteh red carpet. A proper, gown wearing diva, beauty. She really proves that British people cna dress. She never ever seems to have an off day.
Simply gorgeous, love the dramatic draping.
This gown gives the name Catherine the Great a whole new meaning. i expected her to go tight with her gown, but she went for a forest drama, which is fresh because green is so lovely on her.
Reminds me of the good old times she ruled on the red carpet!!!she looks amazing!
While I feel like I’ve seen Catherine in this same dress a hundred times – sporting the same hairdo and the same chandelier earrings – she looks really good. I really like the wave effect of the bottom of the dress.
I agree. The green looked so much more vibrant on TV. A bold choice, but a good one.
Yes, bold but good, I agree (just a tiny bit irritated with her hair – would like something looser to complement the swirls and waves on the dress)
I love her in this – it was a return to CZJ of old, she looked like she looked in Zorro, gorgeous.
One of my favorite looks of the night, along with Claire, Megan, Mila, Olivia and Anne.
Absolutely stunning. Back to the old glamorous CZJ.
I love green and people who dare to wear green to award ceremony Thumb ups!!!!
Stunning! Best dressed along with Olivia
Just lovely. It’s so good to see Catherine back again looking as gorgeous as she used to. This is such a wonderful color for her, and I’m really enjoying seeing a dress looking as good off the runway as on.
i thought it was black on tv glad its green but it looks like grass carpet. a huge amethyst statement necklace would have been killer and took away the “carpet like” feel.
to have clad a cancer free husband is superb enough, but to show up wearing this, truly divine! but the design looks a bit milla jovovich’s LV gown…
This is a major wower. She looks like she’s a forest goddess that stopped by for an awards show. Ohhh, it’s sooo dreamy
i loved this dress when i saw it a few days ago on monqiue l’s site and loved it more when i saw it on catherine. and those earrings- wow! best dressed of the night.
Stunning.
A princess dress! Maybe a little dull, but very pretty.
It’s a beautifully constructed dress. But yes, it does look a little like Astroturf.
She really surprised me ! She is stunning and looks like aa queen.
how stunning!! miss seeing her on redcarpet!!! <3
A great look for her and I saw her interview with E! and Im so glad Michael is healthy again
Although it looks like astroturf it works. She looks stunning.
Gorgeous! She is such a red carpet diva, movie star glamour done right! My third favorite green dress of the night.
Stunning!
The colour is great for her.
Sorry guys, I disagree – this looks like a wedding dress dyed green!
I agree with the wedding dress comment. Kind of dull needed some sparkle, or maybe just another dress.
Best Dressed for me. Made me gasp when I saw it. Unfortunately, this is the only gown that wowed me, out of the sea of mediocre looks.
When I first saw this on t.v. last night the first thing I thought was that it reminded me of a lawn. I do like it on her though.
My favorite of the night — followed closely by Claire Danes and Anne Hathaway (three drastically different looks, I know). The green is soooo vibrant (all the green gowns, from Mila to Angelina to Elizabeth popped on the red carpet) and Catherine absolutely glows in it.
okay, it’s markedly different, but for some reason it brings to mind the puce Vuitton worn by Gong Li.
Wow, is CZJ ever back in form!
